David Hess (David Hess) put on a helluva showing considering all of the trials and tribulations he has endured over the last 4-5 years. I've only known David for a short 5 months, but it's pretty easy to see why this guy is so liked and why cancer never really had a shot against him. Stuff wise, he averaged over 1mph higher than his 2025 in game average (and .2 higher than his debut season in 2018), T93 inside (huge deal), and showcased two different breaking balls. Didn't get the chance to show off the sinker or changeup, but they're there and dominant. A true competitor and strike thrower that deserves another shot in affiliate ball.

One of the main reasons there are no queues for essential supplies like fuel and gas is because most people can't afford these essential supplies, I pointed out joining the debate on the Economic Transformation Bill in parliament today. Research organisations have revealed that the monthly expenses of 90% of families in Sri Lanka are higher than their monthly incomes. 25% of families cannot afford milk for the children. Over 50% of families can't buy school books and school uniforms. The population living below the poverty line has increased from 3 or 4 million to 7 million. That means one third, or 33.33%, of the country, is below the poverty line. This bill, which claims it will bring this down to 10%, will ring hollow to these suffering masses.

So Nick Smith & his team scratched John Hancock this morning after looking at him for 30 min. & multiple jogs bc it was not obvious to them. He has not run in 365+ days, passed the vet test in Fla. to run two weeks ago, & passed the blood test. But here is a question. Ky average catastrophic breakdown in 2025 was 1.24/1000 starts. National average was 1.04/1000 for 17% improvement over Kentucky. If Nick Smith and his team are doing such a great job, then why is the breakdown rate higher in Kentucky when he scratches twice as many horses? 💁‍♂️

Batting average can lie. Just look at Luis Arraez. Yes, he can hit .300 and win batting titles. But his on-base percentage should be much higher than it is and there’s a reason why. He chases. Arraez refuses to walk. He swings at pitches out of the zone, even in key moments when his team desperately needs base runners. In this video I’m showing two back-to-back pitches where he swings at ball four. That cannot happen from a guy whose value is supposed to be getting on base. This is what I call a soft .300. The batting average looks great, but the impact is limited. He doesn’t drive the ball with authority. Low exit velocity. A lot of soft contact. And because he won’t take walks, he leaves OBP on the table. Imagine if he added discipline. If he simply took what pitchers give him, his OBP jumps and now you’re talking about a completely different level of player. Instead, you get a hitter who racks up singles in hot streaks but doesn’t maximize his value. High average. Low leverage. That’s the difference.

More than 8,800 rape incidents were reported to the Metropolitan Police, an average of 24 a day. Charities have called the findings "horrifying" but say the true extent of sexual offending will be far higher. The Met says it remains determined to tackle sexual violence, is "striving to do better" and that the number of rape charges has more than doubled since 2022.
