On the last completed U.S. session (October 1), spot Bitcoin ETFs took in about $103 million net. BlackRock’s IBIT led that with about $196 million of net inflows. IBIT still holds roughly $68 billion and has cumulative net inflows of about $65.6 billion. It is the largest Bitcoin ETF, not a fund being wound down. On Ethereum the same day, BlackRock’s ETHA and ETHB were flat. The $55 million net outflow from spot Ether ETFs came mainly from Fidelity’s FETH (about $23.5 million) and Grayscale’s ETHE (about $20.4 million), not from BlackRock. The day before, October 1’s prior session, U.S. Bitcoin ETFs did see about $149 million of net outflows, and IBIT had a small $9.5 million outflow. That ended a nine-day inflow streak. It was a normal redemption day, not a liquidation. Viral posts often take those ETF share redemptions and label them “BlackRock dumping.” The fund buys or sells Bitcoin only to match creations and redemptions from investors. BlackRock is the sponsor, not a trader calling a crash. There is no evidence in the flow data that BlackRock “knows another massive crash is coming.”
