TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI REPEL TERRORIST ATTACK ON FORWARD OPERATING BASE MAIRARI The Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), has once again demonstrated its resilience and combat superiority as troops of CIB XIX at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Mairari successfully repelled a determined night attack by ISWAP terrorists in Mairari, Guzamala Local Government Area of Borno State. On 1 July 2026, at about 2325 hours, the terrorists launched an attack on the base. The troops responded with exceptional gallantry, engaging the attackers in a fierce firefight and forcing them to withdraw in confusion after inflicting heavy casualties on the terrorists and destroying their equipment. Items recovered include AK 47 rifles, magazines loaded with ammunition, Rocket Propelled Gun tubes among others. Surveillance footage further confirmed the evacuation of several dead and wounded terrorists from the battlefield. It would be recalled that Mairari community had only recently been resettled, with over 950 households returning to the area. The attack was also a desperate attempt by the terrorists to instill fear among the residents and disrupt the ongoing resettlement process. However, their objective was thwarted, as no civilian casualties were recorded in the community during the attack. Regrettably, two soldiers and one member of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) paid the supreme price during the intense encounter. Additionally, few equipments were damaged by Rocket Propelled Gun fire during the encounter. The Theatre Command mourns these gallant heroes and extends its heartfelt condolences to their families and loved ones. In a related development, a reinforcement team from Monguno successfully detected and safely detonated two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) emplaced along the route before engaging the fleeing terrorists. The attack occurred on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, as the troops continued ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the area. Sources told Zagazola Makama that the terrorists launched an aggressive assault on the military location, apparently attempting to overwhelm the troops and disrupt ongoing security operations around the community. However, the soldiers stood their ground and responded with sustained firepower, frustrating the attackers and preventing them from gaining access to or overrunning the military position. The determined resistance reportedly forced the terrorists to withdraw from the area with casualties, while the military positions in Pulka remained firmly under the control of the security forces. The engagement was reinforced by the timely intervention of the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI, which provided Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) support to the ground troops. 🔴🔴 || FAILED HGB (TTP) VB SUICIDE BOMBING & INFILTRATION ATTEMPT AT BOYA BATTALION HEADQUARTERS, NORTH WAZIRISTAN 🔴 || 05 Terrorists Killed | Infiltration Attempt Foiled by Alert Troops 🔴 || At 0751 hours, a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the Boya Military Fort, followed by an attempted physical breach by four additional terrorists. 🔴|| Due to the swift and effective response of the alert troops, three terrorists were neutralized by the Quick Reaction/Security Action Team outside the perimeter wall, while the remaining (1) terrorist was engaged and eliminated outside the fort. 🔴 || The Hafiz Gul Bahadar (HGB) group of the TTP has claimed responsibility for the attack. 🔴 || As a result of the incident, four soldiers sustained injuries.

The IDF confirms carrying out several airstrikes in the Gaza Strip overnight and this morning, in response to a "blatant violation" of the ceasefire yesterday. Among those killed in the strikes was a Hamas terrorist who infiltrated the Re'im military base during the October 7, 2023, onslaught, according to the IDF. The military says the strikes targeting terror operatives in northern Gaza, Gaza City, and Khan Younis came after five Palestinian gunmen emerged from a tunneland approached troops on the Israeli side of the ceasefire line last night. The targeted terror operatives "had recently been working to restore the capabilities of the terror organizations in the Strip and were advancing terror attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel," the IDF says. One of the strikes killed Ahmad Bayouk, who the IDF says raided the Re'im military base on October 7. Meanwhile, the IDF also announces that a strike on Monday, in response to an attack by gunmen on troops in southern Gaza's Rafah a day prior, killed a Palestinian Islamic Jihad commander. Azem Abu Huli, who headed Islamic Jihad's elite forces in the Strip's center, was responsible for supplying weapons to other terror operatives, as well as advancing attacks against troops, the army says. Abu Huli commanded Islamic Jihad terrorists who invaded Israel on October 7, and throughout the war also trained operatives "to practice scenarios involving the abduction of IDF soldiers," the IDF adds.
