Our homes and forrests are covered in aluminum chaff from their cloud seeding... I wonder if those particles are affected (ignited) by the energy/laser beam?

Having fought dozens of forest fires, I don't recall one where the trees were not left standing. If that's his reasoning, he's no expert.

I frame houses in Seattle since 90. We use steel "moment frames" here n there mostly for strength. Expensive but allows me to build stronger in places that would normally b huge beams. Sometimes I build "floating stairs" n use some steel in these sometimes 2. Fire codes, energy codes, n waterproofing has been ever-changing my whole career. Some custom houses have a lot of steel. Allows bigger windows. Built some huge corner sliding glass doors that would be impossible with wood frame.
