The suspect in the Brown University shooting has been identified as 48-year-old former Brown University student Claudio Manuel Neves Valente. The president of Brown University, Christina Paxson, said that the suspect was enrolled at the school from 2000 to 2001 and he was pursuing a graduate program in physics. “It is safe to assume that this man, when he was a student, spent a lot of time in that building,” where the deadly mass shooting occurred, Paxson said.
