The clip they're pushing shows Cox saying there's no experiment you can do on Earth to detect its motion. What they don't show is everything before it: Cox is specifically talking about detecting Earth's *orbit around the Sun*. That part's actually correct - Einstein and Hawking both concluded there's no *local* experiment that can distinguish being at rest from moving in a straight line through space. There is no absolute space. That's the point. None of that has anything to do with Earth's *rotation*. Because here's the thing: we can prove Earth rotates. Foucault's pendulum has been doing it since 1851. We watch Earth spin in real time with satellites. The Coriolis effect shapes weather systems across entire hemispheres. These aren't theoretical - they're observable, measurable, repeatable. Even if the quote meant what the FLERFs claim it means (it doesn't), it *still* wouldn't prove Earth doesn't rotate. 👤 I’m curious about how you see the world. your weverse posts show such a beautiful soul. and i want to live like that too. 🐶 In the end, I think the world I see is one where nothing really lasts. As time passes, even my own notes keep changing. When I die, the money I earned becomes meaningless. There might be people who remember my name, but that won’t last forever either. So what I believe is that what truly remains in this world..what stays in the universe, is the energy I give to it. Once that energy is released into the world, it’s just out there, like dust, existing somewhere in the universe forever. Because I think energy matters deeply. Your energy can be destructive, or it can be good. So just be good energy. Give good things to the world. Because that’s the only thing that lasts. And your life is part of that energy. That’s the only thing that is forever.
