🇨🇦 BREAKING: Canada hits the U.S. with retaliatory tariffs Starting September 8, Ottawa will impose tariffs of 15%, 25% and 50% on 700 categories of U.S. goods. Canadian Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne said: “Today, I am announcing that Canada will match U.S. tariffs dollar for dollar, rate for rate.... For each product, our tariff will match the U.S. tariff on the same type of Canadian good.” The tariffs will hit steel, aluminum, furniture, clothing, household appliances, electronics and seafood.
