John Connolly was an institution in Canton. He’s been on the select board since the beginning of time and spent his entire life in the town. He was a rubber stamp for the police and Chief Rafferty and would never consider any sort of reform. Everything in canton was fine as far as he was concerned. Last night Canton residents overwhelmingly rejected this mentality. He lost by a 2-1 landslide margin. This isn’t just a social movement, it’s a political movement. Next year we’re voting out Chris Albert and Michael Morrissey too.
