The *Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO)* has confirmed the arrest of Dennis Miracles Aboagye in connection with alleged financial and procurement irregularities amounting to approximately *GH¢55 million* during his tenure as former Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCCoD). Mr. Aboagye was apprehended alongside Gerald Appiah, the former accountant of the IMCCoD Secretariat. In a statement released on Monday, July 13, 2026, EOCO disclosed that the arrests stem from an ongoing investigation into suspected misappropriation, misapplication, diversion, and theft of public funds at the Secretariat. The probe was initiated following a petition by the current Executive Secretary of IMCCoD, seeking deeper scrutiny into a forensic audit covering the period from August 1, 2022, to February 2, 2025.
