BREAKING: Celtic midfielder Arne Engels has joined West Ham for £22m on an initial five-year deal ✍️

@AnthonyRJoseph Thanks For Doubling Our Money 👏🏻 Good Luck Son 🍀

An average penalty is the highlights? For £22 million? A penalty?

five year deal for engels at west ham, potts building some real depth in that midfield now

@AnthonyRJoseph Shat it from the 🔴⚪️🔵

😂 incredible money for a bang average player.

West Ham actually spending money on a midfielder who isn’t 34 and past it? Pinch me.

Just signed the equivalent to a EPL league 1 player! Well done!!

He's absolutely pony! You've been done big time

Cheers Arne 👍✅

£22m on a Celtic midfielder? That's West Ham money. Remember when Spurs signed Modric for roughly the same and he ran the league for a decade? West Ham are collecting runners-up medals while we collect Ballon d'Or nominations. Different level.

Another midfielder moves for big money. The market is broken and everyone’s fine with it.

They have been bumped ffs

West Ham spending like they’ve still got Rice money, fucking hell

Celtic to the championship???

Parrott and disasi next …. Good luck to all down there if it all clicks as it should

Ham has got robbed yesterday 🫣

Nice

They would need more than this to bring them back to the prem

Westham is not joking oooo

The word doing the work there is “initial”. Amortisation is set by the term actually signed, so extending later respreads the remaining book value over more years and cuts the annual charge, which is one quiet reason clubs renew players they have no intention of selling.

Can somebody please tell Gabby 56000 at a friendly and he thinks Villa are a bigger club the man is delusional

Go Stevie Wonder, legacy & multi millions for a bang average. Sorry below average player, well Done again the Cellic social media team 😂😂

God riddance arne

Even in 2026! We still can’t watch sky sport video as a Nigerian 😏

West Ham paying £22m for Arne Engels while Lopetegui probably calls it “progress” is comedy.
