THIS SHOULD'VE BEEN DONE LONG AGO TO ALLOW BENEFITS OF RESERVATIONS TO THOSE WHO REALLY NEED IT! SC seeks response from Centre on ‘creamy layer’ in SC/ST quota. Plea argues that once a family member attains a Govt or Constitutional post, their children should not keep availing quota benefits. I can give 3 examples right here on how benefits of reservations are availed by those who are no-more oppressed or without access to resources to studies. Father → Kids 1. Jaswant Dabi (ITS officer, Group A central service) → Tina Dabi (IAS, 2015 batch) and Ria Dabi (IAS, 2020 batch)— Family availed ST reservation benefits. 2. The Centre is opposing a reform that could help reservation benefits reach the poorest and most deprived families within reserved communities themselves. They first opposed in 2024 then 2025 and now 2026! In 2024, a 7-judge Supreme Court Bench allowed sub-classification within Scheduled Castes. Justice B.R. Gavai also observed that the State should evolve a policy to identify the creamy layer among SC/ST communities so that affirmative-action benefits reach those who need them most. Then in August 2025, Ramashankar Prajapati (OBC) and Yamuna Prasad (SC) approached the Supreme Court seeking economic prioritisation within reservation benefits, without reducing the existing quota. Now, the Centre has opposed their plea, arguing that SC/ST reservation addresses historical and social discrimination and cannot be determined merely by economic status. Caste discrimination is real and must be fought. But ensuring that the most deprived people within reserved communities get a fair opportunity is also reform. The Supreme Court is yet to give its final verdict.

"Every 10 years, we have a census in our country, in which every single person living in India is recorded and their details are taken down. In that, for the last 70 years, we have always asked the religion of the head of the household. We have always asked language. We have always asked caste category, SC, ST or others. The only and in the case of SC and ST, we also in the census record the exact caste that they belong to. The only thing we do not do so far is to record the caste for those who are not SC or ST. Bihar’s Post-Matric Scholarship move • Bihar’s NDA government announced 100% fee coverage (no cap) for SC and ST students in IITs, NITs and AIIMS. • Support for polytechnics, ITIs and other institutes has also been increased. • EWS students are excluded. If the intent was genuine support, collateral-free education loans for all needy students could have been offered instead of selective inclusion. Centre repeats the pattern • The Centre partnered with a physics coaching foundation to fund free coaching for 5,000 students for UPSC, SSC and other exams. • Only reserved categories are eligible; EWS is again excluded. The core issue • EWS quota exists on paper, but not in policy benefits. • True equity would be need-based opportunity, not category-based exclusion. • Long-term impact comes from better schools and foundational education, not repeated cash distribution. So the question remains: welfare-driven policy, or vote-driven appeasement?

I come from Bihar. Research how dire the situation of the Musahar community is. Their children aren't getting reservations. Why? Because those caste groups don't even have leaders... The second demand is quota within quota, on which the government has also said that we will not implement the creamy layer in it. Why will you not implement it? It is so absurd that the government is bowing down to those few Dalit leaders who only talk about their caste group... The third demand is minimum marks. You cannot sell the dream of a developed India by compromising on merit. Dalit Orgs of Tamil Nadu are now protesting because they WANT to keep doingsanitation work and not let others take part in it. Why do you think Dalit organizations are protesting this decision? Remember, the upper caste dalits protest to keep sanitation work largely with Dalit community so that they can then use statistics like "90% sanitation workers are dalits". Markets are supposed to be based on supply and demand but with zero transparency and loopholes that have loopholes Regulators that don't regulate. So why not sell more shares than the legally issued float. But you can't have price discovery based on supply and demand if there is endless supply. Shares are a Companies Currency so it's no different than Counterfeiting money. But if you Counterfeit a $20 bill you will be breaking the law and there will be consequences. Counterfeit Millions or Billions of Securities no problem. Why❓️ Because the Billionaires don't play by the same rules in fact they don't have any rules.
