Inference speed feels much faster than ChatGPT, but I suspect that’s mainly due to a lot more users on OpenAI’s platform. I gave both a classic interview question I was asked before, unfortunately Anthropic’s Claude-2 seems to be very confused.

I'm going to have to try experimenting with the 100k context window. With that much space to work with, it's possible to build complex LLM-powered apps. Thinking about how you could include product requirements, user stories, technical design, etc., in the prompt and get it to build other high quality LLM-powered software.

Most use MCP, and it quietly eats tokens, it loads everything into context every time, even tools you never call. One benchmark: MCP burned 35x more tokens than a CLI on the same task. I've been using Claude Code for non-coding tasks, like sorting emails and analyzing my spending This was annoying to setup because Claude doesn’t have the right context - it can’t see my email or my credit card statements So we built a virtual filesystem that turns all of my data sources (gmail, notion, gdrive and more) into local folders on my computer I can just describe what I need (e.g. "invoices from the last week") and a folder appears on my computer with exactly those files This gives Claude context, but it also gives it memory - since it has a local filesystem that syncs in the background, it continuously gets access to my data The more things you expose as files, the more Claude can do for you

OpenAI Dev Day Just kicked off and it was the biggest day for AI since the launch of GPT-4 in April. Here's a 3 minute video with everything you need to know and a full summary: 1. They offer 6 hyper-realistic voice models that are the best I've heard from any other AI t-t-s software on the market. 3. Copyright Shield. OpenAI will actually defend your legal costs if you get sued for copyright infringement using their API! 4. GPTs. Maybe the most exciting IMHO, you can now create custom "GPTs" by training your own model of GPT and selling it on their store. This will create a massive shakeup of the current AI software landscape and is the first step towards autonomous agents.
