How long have the IRGC been in power? 1979 How many Governments since then? How many years while .@PierrePoilievre .@MichaelChongMP .@jamesbezan .@AndrewScheer serve in the Harper Government without placing the organization on the Terrorist List 2006 -2015? Canada designated the Quds Force, a branch of the IRGC, as a terrorist entity in 2012. Why didn’t they do both? .@GarnettGenuis

HolyCrap. The IRGC is already sanctioned. Former emembers of IRGC in Canada were excused by the CONs using the argument that IRGC uses conscription and conscripts don't necessarily agree w/the govt. IIRC, that was Harper Govt. Ths ppl were vetted.

This morning, I called on the Liberal government to enforce deportations of IRGC operatives in Canada, crack down on regime financing and coordinate sanctions, address gaps in national security laws and terrorism threat levels, establish the Foreign Influence Registry, and stop approving refugee claims without in-person interviews. Canadians deserve stronger action to protect our national security.
