Department of Housing Secretary Scott Turner says American needs to get back to our founding principles “To pray together, to pray for each other, and to pray for our nation — This nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. And we have a president now that understands not only the power of prayer, but the importance of people in America praying and giving back to our foundation. And so I'm honored to just be a part of it, that every single week that you can get together with 10 people, and pray together. Think about it. We have a million people a week praying for our country. Mountains move when the people of God pray. You know, there's a scripture in the Bible and it says, God can bring the high places low and make the rough places smooth and that he delights in the prayer of his people. And so I believe that as Americans under President Trump's leadership, that as we pray together, that we'll see families come back together. We'll see people that are hurting and lost to come to a true knowledge of Jesus Christ. We'll see sons return to their fathers, daughters return to their mothers. We'll see people who have been fighting and combating in chaos come back together in like-mindedness. Hey there, folks. About to go for a run here in Connecticut, and I realized today is the National Day of Prayer. I just want to say how glorious it is that we live in a country with a National Day of Prayer. It’s on our coins: “In God We Trust.” We have to understand that faith in the God of the Bible is central to who we are as a nation. It always has been. I write about that in the book Revolution. Next weekend, on May 17th, we are publicly rededicating the nation to God. I’ll be there, and I hope you will too. On this National Day of Prayer, take a moment to thank God that we live in a nation that acknowledges Him in this way. God bless you, and God bless America.

We pray for the victims of the tragic high school shooting in Perry, Iowa. I happened to be there today right after it happened, we canceled our event and converted it to a prayer & open conversation. Strikingly, the first two people who spoke to us each said they “weren’t surprised” & that it was just a matter of time before something like this happened. We have a psychological sickness at the core of our country right now.

Sanctuary family, we need your prayers for our sweet girl Missy. 🐾 After discovering a lump on Missy’s belly, we brought her in for a biopsy and we learned that it is cancerous. She is scheduled for surgery this Monday, and we are covering our girl in prayer, declaring the blood of Jesus over her and believing in full healing and recovery 🙏 Missy is deeply loved here at the Sanctuary, and we are praying for many more days of love, treats, and time together. ❤️ We are so grateful for our Sanctuary family who always stands with us in prayer and support. H. E. John Dramani Mahama does not know it all. Even if he did, he cannot do it all by himself. It’ll take the contribution of each and everyone of us to help build the Ghana that we want. So let’s support him in whatever way we can. Our country is at a crossroad now and so I don’t care if you’re NDC or you’re NPP. What we must focus on now as citizens of this country is the development of the country. If you’re indeed a Ghanaian who wishes well for Ghana, this is the time. This is the time to fold your sleeves and get your hands dirty. We’ve got a country to build. We’ve got a nation to set on the path of success not just for our generation but for those to come. I’m hopeful for a better Ghana and so must you be. For some of us, we have continued to support this country and the efforts of the governments that come and go. It’s more about the country than it is about a political party to some of us. We will do what we can to help this country that birthed us. Ghana is all that we have. In light of the current situation in Iran- world conflicts are messy and complicated, way more than I can or should cover in one hot take. I am praying for our leaders to act with justice, boldness, discernment and wisdom. I am also praying for and for the protection of our military, who put themselves into harm’s way for the protection of others. Most of all, our Summit family is praying for the many, many house churches we know exist in Iran. One of our pastors, Dr. Nathan Rostampour, has planted 12 house churches there in Iran and every week leads services from right here at our church for 300 covenant members there. Additionally, there is an online audience of over 50,000 Iranians who tune in each week to hear the Bible taught and thirteen new first-generation leaders–meaning, Muslims who have recently come to faith in Christ–being trained to lead there in ministry. We have lost contact with some of these brothers and sisters in the last few days, and we pray for their safety. We are longing for our brothers and sisters that one day they will be able to worship and preach the gospel openly in Iran. We can’t help but believe God is opening a door for the gospel that cannot be shut, we want to be ready to go through it when he does. Lord, let it be. Please pray this with me.
