Number 4 I Jahkeem Stewart who is really fast off the line. He has to have the quickest first step.

70 is the only Iowa State guy in the starting OL and he is not good right now. And I agree the blocking could have been better. But also, the RB needs to make someone miss or break a tackle. You are telling me Fat Man doesn’t score this last year? The RB’s playing are not good.

Thanks Adam. I’d love this breakdown question for you. Do you think we should be pushing our running backs to the outside into the openings? If they’re not there for the original play it doesn’t seem like we’ve been doing that or they’ve been doing that.

I dunno Adam - split zone so you can have room to cut back. The DT comes over the face of the G sure but the TE does such a horrible job that the RB can’t take advantage of that and cut back out the other side. 84 gets absolutely demolished much bigger impact there.

DL is already in position to make the tackle before the RB has the ball.

Good analysis IF the OL is clearly better than the USC DL, which they are not. Perhaps the USC DL is better coached than the PSU OL?
