In light of what happened today:

U can do a documentary on how the black athlete & athletes of color are broadcast in sports media compared to the white athlete in this era of wokeness the white sports broadcaster hasn’t taken the time to really change their perspective (maybe some have) but why haven’t they ?

You sure can

compelling commentary. you were measured & fair in the way you presented this. You didn't criticize Iowa players for their competitive zeal, simply pointed out the double standard. age old problem. I've been a sports broadcaster for 42 years & have seen this many times before.

I don’t think you’re wrong in that there’s an obvious difference. What I will say, when watching these clips, is that a lot of times Angel’s is demonstrative towards opponents. Hailey and Caitlin hide it by pointing it towards their bench/teammates sometimes

Because black women’s competitive emotions are looked at as intimidating unsportsmanlike and brash. White women’s competitive emotions are considered as fired up & simple competitive nature. Sometimes jovial. It’s unfair. It’s society’s perspective translated to the court.

Again, when Angel drops a 40 point triple double….i’ll let her griddy all she wants on the court. Clark doesn’t get as much hate for her emotions because she’s the best player in the country, Angel isn’t. I think labeling it as a BW issue is an extreme reach.

@OMG_itsizzyb Trying to make a racial issue where there is none. Here we go.....

It’s almost like all of your tweets have something to do with race.

This is facts bro! The energy is never viewed the same. It’s been this way for decades. Goal post is never planted on solid ground for them. It’s easy to move it for the narratives.
