The NYPD is investigating a fatal police shooting that occurred in Times Square on Monday afternoon. Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said at an evening news conference officers responded to West 43rd Street and Seventh Avenue just after 4:20 p.m. after receiving a call about "a woman armed with two knives who was stabbing people along Seventh Avenue." The suspect, identified as 49-year-old Pamela Cisneros of Queens, was killed by police and a female stabbing victim later died at the hospital, police said. A male stabbing victim remains hospitalized.

Air1 Assists TPS in Locating Suspects in Shooting Investigation The DRPS Air1 helicopter assisted Toronto Police Service in the arrest of two suspects in a shooting investigation. On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at around 4:00 p.m., officers from Central West Division responded to the area of Thickson Road North and Taunton Road East after receiving information from Toronto Police Service that two suspects involved in a shooting in Toronto earlier that afternoon were in the area. Air1 conducted an aerial search of the area and located the suspect vehicle in a driveway of a residence in Whitby. Shortly after, the vehicle left the residence and Air1 followed the vehicle into Oshawa, providing updates to TPS and DRPS officers on the ground. At one point, the suspect got into another vehicle, which Air1 began to follow. At approximately 5:15 p.m., units were able to box in the vehicle the suspects fled on foot. Air1 followed one suspect, and he was taken into custody. At approximately 6:00 p.m. Air1 located the second suspect in a nearby playground and he was taken into custody. The Oakland POlice Department responded to a possible gunshot victim and, upon arrival, found the victim with multiple stab wounds. Chief James Beere said in a press release, "As they were dealing with that stabbing incident, BART police called and notified us that an additional person was stabbed in the BART station." “We then got reports of another stabbing at the 3900 block of International where there was two more victims. Officers arrived at that scene, and community members pointed out the direction in which the suspect fled."
