California: On the ground footage of the devastation caused by the Palisades Fire. A state of emergency has been declared. This is the drive along the Pacific Coast Highway and Topanga. Multiple businesses totally gone. Multiple fires continue to burn tonight, with 80MPH winds fueling the growth. LAFD has put out a call for all firefighters to call in for availability. I think many people will be shocked at the destructive path these fires made, and will continue to make this evening. Nighttime air Ops have been shut down due to high winds continuing to increase tonight. Thanks to Sean Stanley for sharing this footage.🙏

BREAKING: Man shot dead in Tenderloin, Suspect and 🔫 Detained at West Oakland BART Station. At approximately 6:25 PM on Sunday, September 14th, the San Francisco Police Department responded to Leavenworth Street between Golden Gate and Turk in the Tenderloin for the report of a man who was shot and killed in the street. San Francisco Fire Department Public Information Officer Lt. Mario Elias confirmed that a victim was transported to SFGH Code 3 in regards to this incident. A person of interest was seen running down Market Street ditching his hoodie which has been recovered by SFPD and placed into evidence. According to scanner audio obtained, a suspect that matched the description of the shooter was detained by BART PD at the West Oakland BART Station and transported to Highland Hospital. A firearm was also recovered by BART PD at the station. Also according to scanner audio, the Emergency Department at SFGH was placed on lockdown at around 6:55 PM, however we were not able to get this information confirmed by City Officials.
