I grew up in a smalltown in Oklahoma w/train tracks running through town. Moved to another town w/trains running through. Worked as a newspaper reporter for years in areas full of trains. Never saw a train derailment. Never covered a train derailment. The frequency seems off.

Two cameras, I need to see additional footage prior to the BIG BLACK SCARY TANKER RAILCAR. This is a track caused derailment. The rail before the crossing sunk into poorly maintained substrate and elevation of the rail. Rail dipped down with weight. Axle hits crossing surface. Prior footage would show raising and lowering of rail.

Thirty-five cars of a Union Pacific train derailed Tuesday afternoon near a small Texas town, officials said. No injuries were reported and no evacuations have been ordered following the afternoon derailment, Union Pacific spokeswoman Robynn Tysver said. News footage showed multiple train cars piled on top of one another on the railroad track located in a rural area. A grass fire and smoke could be seen beside the derailment site.
