Pakistan has credible intelligence that India intends carrying out military action against Pakistan in the next 24-36 hours on the pretext of baseless and concocted allegations of involvement in the Pahalgam incident. Indian self assumed hubristic role of Judge, Jury and Executioner in the region is reckless and vehemently rejected. Pakistan has been the victim of terrorism itself and truly understands the pain of this scourge. We have always condemned it in all its forms and manifestations anywhere in the world. Being a responsible state, Pakistan open heartedly offered a credible, transparent and independent investigation by a neutral commission of experts to ascertain the truth. Unfortunately, rather than pursuing the path of reason, India has apparently decided to tread the dangerous path of irrationality and confrontation, which will have catastrophic consequences for the complete region and beyond. Evasion of credible investigations is in itself sufficient evidence exposing India's real motives. Consciously making strategic decisions hostage to public sentiments, purposefully trumped up for securing political objectives, is unfortunate and deplorable. Pakistan reiterates that any such military adventurism by India would be responded to assuredly and decisively. The International community must remain alive to the reality that the onus of escalatory spiral and its ensuing consequences shall squarely lie with India. The Nation reiterates its resolve to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan at all cost.

The world is once again on the brink, thanks to a problem created by Britain when carving up colonial India. Billions of lives now have the nuclear Sword of Damocles having over their necks. This stupid and incessant fixation on Indian jet losses needs to be put to rest. Few things need to be clear First: Indian military had already confirmed that there were losses in a press conference. But 6 jets is not true. Second: India rectified the “mistake” after the first day. And what was the mistake? It did not target Pakistani air defences the way it could have before going in, because of the rule it imposed on itself that only terror and no military targets will be targeted. But when Pakistan military came out in defence of its terrorist brethren, the rules of engagement changed and Modi set it in stone with the assertion that India will no longer differentiate between the state and the non-state. Military and terror targets in Pakistan are all the same here on out. What Pakistan should see is what happened to it later— HQ-9s, aerial borne radar systems tricked and disabled, 11 airbases including Nur Khan visibly struck and the use of BrahMos, Nuclear command in chaos. Asim Munir in bunker. And Pakistani DGMO ringing India for hours before India’s military actually took their call. That’s the truth.

During the May war, Pakistan’s precision strikes collapsed the Jammu–Srinagar Highway (N-44) around Ramban at a cliff, leaving India with only one option to resupply via western road that runs close to the Line of Control (LoC), making Indian supply lines highly vulnerable to Pakistani shelling. This was one of the main reasons India approached the United States for a ceasefire. Had the war continued for a few more days, Indian troops in the north would have faced severe shortages of ammunition and supplies, potentially cutting off India’s entire northern command. This war has taken India back to the drawing board and it might take Indian military several years to get out this misery.
