PM on social care …pretty clear in conclusion “I’m not going to be deflected by point scoring or the screaming headlines, that is what has set back social care… come back to the point about the political and media culture of this country ..if we try to shut down a serious debate about an issue like this then shame on all of us… I would never forgive myself if I left without having tried because of the inevitable headlines and scare stories… people are already scared by what they are seeing through their own eyes in their own homes or in care homes”… Burnham says that he will back Louise Casey 100% whose report is now brought forward a year… says he’ll do it for his Dad and millions up and down the country, with a bit of a crack in his voice. He also stressed the need to have cross party consultations as far away from an election as possible. Appears clear that PM is focussing on the suggestions or depiction of social care options as being “death taxes”, especially in the wider media, and he feels he can win that argument, which in turn rather suggests that estate taxes are a clear direction of travel here…

“Our ideology is perfect.” No one says that and no one would believe it. The purity narrative is a way of presenting one’s own ideological positions such that one acknowledges all the injustices that have come from it, but then fashions them as mistakes, as errors, as not the real embodiment of whatever that ideology is. “That wasn’t the real socialism. That’s not what Cuba was supposed to be. That’s not what Russia was supposed to be.” And so on and so on. The problem is that histories of Western mass injustice like capitalist exploitation, colonialism, slave trade, are presented as systemic and structural (and still operating today!) whereas once we start talking about the histories of the Left, then they’re presented only as mistakes.

Kamala Harris believes that the way to prevent millions of people from flooding our country is not to secure our borders, but rather to solve the underlying problems in other countries so that people don’t want to come here—i.e. solve the problems of poverty, crime, and lack of freedom in other countries, then people will want to stay there and not come here. Until then, she believes we should basically have open borders, which means they will always be open because we’re never going to fix the problems of poverty, corruption, etc. in Central and South America, Africa, Asia, etc.

American doctor days she has multiple elderly patients that need to be admitted into nursing homes She says insurance companies are now giving no notice for peer-2-peer calls to approve them. The latest one gives her 3 hours, if she can’t drop everything “he doesn’t get to go” “So sick of insurance companies. I have had two patients that have been sitting in the hospital for five days that I have said for five days that they, they need to go to the nursing home. Physical therapy, occupational therapy notes are in. They've noted the severe debility. They're recommending nursing home too. — Today I get a notice at 11am That a peer to peer is due in order for one to go to the nursing home and it had to be done by 2pm so you give me a notice at 11 and you give me three hours to work in and I had multiple critical patients at this point. And so you give me three hours to say you have to call by three hours. This patient doesn't get to go” She says she’s having to do the calls from home This is a scam.
