This morning we visited this abandoned Smart School in Ngor Okpala LGA, Imo State to get first hand information on the current state of the school and also chart a way forward. The total budget for this abandoned school was N3.6 billion. It was completed last year. The school was funded by Korean government in partnership with UBEC. 6 of these schools were built in the 6 geopolitical zones in Nigeria. This one was built to serve the entire South East region. The reason it was abandoned since last year was because there was no provision for teachers accommodation. It was part of the origin design but the contractor didn't execute that for reasons best known to them. The villagers took up the responsibility to guard the school daily, and that's why not a pin has been stolen in the school yet. Tablets, Smart Boards and other devices are still packed inside IMSUBEB warehouse, because the school is not in use. The school is also not yet connected to the national grid, so no light in the school. They had few solar panels installed though. This school can take 880 students. What they need now is lodge where teachers and corpers can stay so they start operation. The school is inside the bush. What should we do to get this school up and running immediately?

NEW: The man who stabbed a 6-year-old to death and was released from prison early has been re-arrested in Florida near an elementary school. Ronald Exantus was convicted in 2015 after stabbing Logan Tipton so hard in the head with a butcher's knife that the knife bent. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested Exantus near Sunrise Elementary School for failing to register as a felon, as required by Florida law. Exantus was discovered living in a home adjacent to the elementary school and blocks from another school. He failed to register as a felon within 48 hours. "I am proud of the quick response by my deputies and the inter-agency teamwork that helped locate and arrest this disgusting individual," said Sheriff Woods. "The fact that he was living right next to an elementary school is even more repulsive. Something’s happening in Texas and it’s not good for Texans. For 67 years, Prosper ISD was a small farming community school district. Now it’s one of the fastest growing districts in the state. The problem isn’t the growth, it’s where it’s coming from and who’s paying for it. While previous residents paid taxes and built up reserves, the district is now draining those reserves to cover tens of millions in annual operating deficits. At the same time, they lowered the tax rate. As new students keep arriving, the number of SPED and ESL aides has also exploded (I wonder why). When you pull up the public staff directories and search “aide,” the same pattern repeats across school after school: a massive percentage of those positions are filled by people with South Asian/Indian names. Taxpayers who built this district for decades are watching their reserves get burned through while the tax rate gets cut and the support staff looks nothing like the community that funded it. This is what replacement looks like and it’s being paid for by previous Texans. #texaschanged

NEW: North Carolina high school student arrested after assaulting his teacher as students in the class filmed and laughed. The teen is now facing three misdemeanor charges for assault on a government official. Border Patrol approached several men working on a roof—Some of them ran, others pulled up ladders to prevent agents from apprehending them. One illegal immigrant was taken into custody. The two on the roof who refused to come down are now considered targets. This is insane! Most Americans have no clue how massive the illegal immigration problem is in our country. I hope this video helps illustrate. On our ride with #ICE ICE Baltimore Friday morning we were in pursuit of a criminal illegal suspect in the white van. As the team was about to engage, the vehicle pulled into a parking lot with more illegals than I’ve ever seen in one place waiting to get picked up to take more American jobs. Unfortunately, we did not have the 50 units it probably would’ve taken to conduct the operation to apprehend all of these illegals effectively. We did manage to make the arrest on the targeted vehicle with the criminal illegal inside, but we’ll have to come back for that parking lot. The reality is there are tens of millions of criminal legal aliens in our country, millions that were invited in under Joe Biden and the Democrat’s invasion. Now the same radical communist activists who were a part of supporting the invasion are attacking #ICE for doing their job. It’s very simple. Let #ICE do their job and you won’t get shot! If we allow these terrorist activists and the politicians that encourage them to win, we will not have a country in a very short period of time. The sad reality is that is the objective. We have traitors in our own country, many of them politicians some of them in the media and some in these activist organizations, whose objectives are to destroy this country from within. Crazy enough, asbestos was found during the renovation, unbeknownst to anyone until we started the construction for the bigger school so sadly this community, along the with the teachers and children, had been inhaling this dangerous chemical for years — this new school couldn’t come fast enough and we’re proud to help while looking forward to opening more schools and libraries in 2025 and beyond! #newschool #givingback #knowledgeispower

🚨Is the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors about to DEFUND school resource officers to fund more DEI? At a March 2nd meeting, Supervisor Juli Briskman told the county’s DEI department that she hopes the board will not fund a large resource request (elementary SROs), and if that happens, other budget requests like more DEI positions could be funded. The County Administrator already included funding in the proposed budget to fund school resource officers in elementary schools, something Briskman opposes as do most Democrats on the school board like April Chandler and Anne Donohue. On Thursday at 5:15 pm, the Loudoun County School Board is holding a special meeting and is expected to vote on the Sheriff’s proposal to add school resource officers in all elementary schools. Right now, the Democrat majority on the school board is expected to formally oppose the SRO proposal. We’ll keep you updated. Some believe this is being done now so Democrats on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, like Briskman, can make the argument to take the SRO funding out of the county’s proposed budget. “Why fund elementary school SROs if the school board doesn’t want them?” Right now, there are school resource officers in all middle and high schools in Loudoun County. The Sheriff says the county needs school resource officers in elementary schools because of how many calls of service there are at elementary schools and he says SRO’s can protect the most vulnerable kids in the county when seconds count. Elementary school shootings have been on the rise over the past ten years. The sheriff’s office also tells me there are hundreds of instances where SROs have had to leave middle schools to respond to threats at elementary schools each year. The sheriff’s office was told by the school admin last year that if they want school resource officers in elementary schools, they should get the funding first, and then LCPS will talk. But now it appears the school board is moving the goal posts. The sheriff’s office was able to get the funding, but now there’s an effort underway by Briskman and some school board members to pull the funding and prevent school resource officers in elementary schools.

This is the state of education in Namibia. Apparently these are Hereo and Nama learners fighting amongst each other. I am not sure which school this is but honorable Elijah Ngurare Manongo this matter needs to be investigated as soon as possible. We cannot have school going learners participating in tribal war and violence. The school environment also needs to be investigated because sometimes, these children see and hear how teachers treat each other due to ongoing internal tribal conflict. These are the learners we are expected to teach and discipline, as teachers, we are not even safe around the children we teach. There’s a lot we are not unpacking in terms of tribal tension that’s currently brewing in our country and if we are not careful, it will not go down well. This is also bullying, the question is, where did it start? Who started it and why are our learners so comfortable fighting in the streets after school? Parents, what’s your role in this? This teacher says if you ever wonder why people are leaving the teaching profession in droves, this is one of the main reasons. She has students that she has written an incident report on every single day. She has contacted the principal and the support staff and the help that was given to her was to email the parents of the students. Basically, no help or support at all. We have many epidemics in our country but this is one of the biggest that doesn’t get enough attention. We all know our school system is a failure but even more than we know. Students these days have zero consequences. They are passed with straight F’s. They are allowed to be a continuing distraction and disruption in the classrooms and nothing is done about it. We need to start over. 💯 Why do we allow this this as a school? As a district? As a city? As a state? As a country? It didn’t use to be like this? This is why other countries surpass us in education, there is no discipline in our schools. Would you want to be a teacher in this day and age at a public school?
