The pilot's name for the 21 Air-operated Amazon Prime 767 (N1997A, Flight 7598) that overran the Miami runway on Sept 6 has not been publicly released by authorities or the airline. Both crew members survived with injuries. The five fatalities were people on the ground in vehicles struck. NTSB investigation ongoing.

Why do airports put public road ways right at the end of the runways??? Some put huge concrete barriers to ensure a plan that over runs gets absolutely disintegrated, others put public road ways. Wtf!

170kts ground speed at 50’ landing 1/2 way down a 9000’ rwy is insane.
Why is the judgement on the pilot only? There are many variables. Proper maintenance of the equipment plays a higher role in accidents like this one
