@AGJamesUthmeier I cared for all kinds of people as a long time ICU nurse in a rough city. I had urinals thrown at me, I was spit on, pooped and bled on, hit and kicked. I was exposed to active TB, and numerous other infectious diseases. But I did my job, with professionalism and self control.

Thank you. My husband was recently in the ICU for several days. After his condition improved, I felt compelled to caution him about openly discussing his political views or even watching certain news channels, not because of anything that happened there, but because of fear. I have seen too many disturbing comments from individuals identifying as nurses on social media, and it was unsettling. No one should have to worry about such things during a medical crisis. I also want to be very clear that he was not mistreated in any way on the contrary, his care was professional and compassionate.
