Having watched the Argungun fishing festival and the hype, I now realized that, marketing is a key factor in every spheres. Looking at Ìlájé, where over 150k men enter the oceans daily to fish and over 100k women only in Ondo state and are already waiting for the men to return and buy the market from them, yet we're hardly known or recognized. Now imagine the wonders they are doing in Akwa-Ibom, Rivers state, Bayelsa, Delta ,ogun and Lagos state.... Yet, people barely know us, the state government of each of this state don't even recognized us not to talk of federal government. And these fishermen, especially in Ondo state has the capacity of buying billions worth of Naira of fuels daily...and they do this for 364 days yearly....mehn, the government need to recognized us and pay attention to us, just as they did to our counterpart farmer upland. I've been thinking about this for days, how can we bring ourselves to limelight? We need to be heard, seen and recognized, what and what do we need to do? We can't continue like this....
