I spoke on NEWSMAX to discuss the recent horrific murder of Charlie Kirk and his memorial service today honoring his legacy of a life for Christ. This was a man of courage, bold faith, who wasn’t ashamed of the Gospel, and wanted others to go and do likewise. Regardless of his political beliefs, he made it his mission to share the love of Christ and the truth of the Gospel to millions of people. I am heartbroken for the Kirk family and by the evil that has taken place, yet because of Jesus’ great sacrifice on the cross we know that Charlie is in Heaven. Please continue to pray for Erika Kirk and the Kirk family and that God would give them peace and comfort.

He understood what makes our constitutional republic special: in America, we don’t resort to physical attacks or violence to settle political differences. We enter the marketplace of ideas. We compete with our arguments. And through that contest, we get to truth. Charlie understood better than anyone that it wasn’t “your truth” or “my truth.” It wasn’t “his” or “her” truth. This is our ally. This is a democratic ally of the United States. We have a shared Judeo-Christian heritage. This is the underpinning, the pillars of Western civilization that we’re upholding together and you want the conservative movement to attack all that and turn against that?
