It will not result in affordability. School boards take more tax than counties and cities do. And they’ll probably raise those now. Also, other fees will probably go up. This was populism. DeSantis wants to brag about abolishing property taxes, but not be around to deal with the consequences. More of the tax burden will fall to commercial properties and our business friendly reputation will suffer. Long term, this isn’t good.
