BREAKING: For the first time in history, a space launch from continental Europe has successfully reached orbit. Isar Aerospace, the German space company, launched its Spectrum rocket from Andøya Spaceport in Norway today.

Nice. But uh...say Western Europe. That slices off Russia conveniently (with their European launch sites) as is the norm for Europe references and avoids having to correct because Andøya is not on the continent (its on an island) and thus not continental Europe. I'll shut up now.

@isaraerospace Launches such as in Europe are rarer since closer to the Equator you get the more of a rotational enhancement to velocity in an eastward directional is achieved. Thus, why the lower Hemispheres as preferred for its liftoff there cost less fuel.
