Luke Grover, a student at Calvert County Public Schools, is the president of a local Club America chapter. Club America groups are designed to help high schoolers "build real-world skills, challenge the narrative, and lead with purpose," according to Turning Point USA. Grover told the Calvert County Board of Education on Thursday his group, unaffiliated with the school district, has received hate and "insinuations of violence," along with "grooming" allegations. "Our first meeting was in November and we wrote letters for veterans ... We're not causing any harm," he said.
