Justin Anderson, a neighbor, heard the woman's screams and came to see what was happening. He recorded the horrific discovery on his phone. The woman's foster mom, 60-year-old Kandice "Kandy" Thompson was arrested and charged with multiple felonies, including kidnapping and injury to a disabled person. She was released on bond, and then re-arrested on additional aggravated kidnapping charges on November 25. Kandy and her late husband, a former Anson police chief, had fostered over 50 children throughout the years together before he died in 2020. When police arrived there were two other adult foster children in the home. The victim has since been removed and is with family. Adult Protective Services is managing her case along with the Anson Police Department. It was just her kids splashing in a kiddie pool in the front yard trying to stay cool in the heat and having fun. The cops laughed it off and left. But at the end of the day she has to still live here with this woman across the street. HURST, Texas - A Hurst woman and the local police department are telling different sides of a story involving a traffic stop and a thrown speeding ticket. On Jan. 16, Taneisha Thompson was stopped by a Hurst police officer after allegedly speeding in a school zone. Hurst Police released body camera footage of the incident on Tuesday. In the video, an officer issues Thompson a traffic citation after a brief conversation. Thompson is seen throwing the ticket back at the officer, who then placed Thompson under arrest with the help of another officer. Officers pulled Thompson out of her car and onto the ground before arresting her. Thompson's child was present in the passenger seat of the vehicle at the time of the incident. Thompson has hired civil rights attorney Lee Merritt as she considers legal action against the Hurst Police Department. She says she suffered a black eye, a lip injury that required stitches and several bruises on her body from the incident. Thompson read a statement to reporters on Tuesday evening during a press conference before sharing her story with Hurst City Council. "I am here today because this is bigger than me—this is about all of us. It is about ensuring de-escalation, about prioritizing the safety of every citizen, so that no one else endures what I did. I am deeply grateful for all the support I have received from around the world—this is a call for justice, for humanity, and for safety. I will not be silenced," part of Thompson's statement read. Merritt answered questions during the presser. When asked about Thompson's throwing of the ticket, Merritt said: "I tell my clients, I tell the public in general, it’s not best to litigate a case on the side of the road. If you’re upset about a police encounter, hold your peace, hire an attorney, file a complaint with the police department later." He also stated: "I let the public know, just because this is the law, that you actually have every right to be rude to law enforcement. Not best practice, but you have every right to be rude." Hurst Police are standing by the officer. "Corporal Morgan acted in full accordance with the law and with our department’s policies and the department stands firmly behind his actions," Hurst Police Chief Billy Keadle said. The department conducted an investigation into the incident after Thompson filed a formal complaint claiming excessive use of force. The investigation determined the claims were unfounded. Alex del Carmen, a criminologist at Tarleton State University, viewed the footage and said the officer's actions were lawful. This woman is on vacation, she just landed in Florida and she’s all alone on the beach. She decided to wait here on the beach until she could check in at the hotel. She notices a man who was watching her from a distance, then he came over and sat down next to her and even listened to her conversation she had on the phone with her sister. He ended up walking away but he didn’t leave the area when another woman came up to talk to her and warned her about him. The woman wasn’t local and only stayed because she felt the man was very suspicious and she didn’t want anything to happen to the woman on vacation. The woman on vacation ended up waiting inside the local bar and grille as soon as they opened. When you are traveling alone, it’s never a good idea to let that be known, never tell anyone you are from out of town because it makes you a target. If she couldn’t check in until later, couldn’t she just use stayed in the lobby of the hotel with her bags until check in time?

This little girl has been coming to this neighbor’s house and trashing her stuff. She pulls out her water hose, knocks over her planters, but one day, the neighbor is home and follows her to her house. As the little girl’s mom stands outside with her daughter, it’s the neighbor making her apologize. Why isn’t the mother making her? The mother didn’t even apologize and she’s standing there fixing her daughter’s hair. I think the neighbor handled it as well as can be. She was very polite. Ms. Destiny is a lovely lady and an angel. But something is off with the little girl. The mother seems off as well. Something isn’t right at that house. A physical altercation broke out on a Frontier Airlines flight during the boarding process, reportedly triggered when a woman pushed a child to get through the aisle. A female passenger claimed she was trying to get to her assigned exit row seat (12A) and asked a roughly 10-year-old child standing in the aisle to move. She alleged that the child's mother confronted her, telling her never to speak to her child. She called what he did “abusive”, but when the woman who admitted to leaving her Dog in a hot car called a news station to complain, she ended up with a dose of karma instead. KOB News investigated what happened and after the woman asked the news channel to look into her complaint against the officer, saying that he forced her to sit in the hot car she had left her Dog in. But the news channel discovered that the officer had a label pin video recording the entire time and it tells a different story. Officer Vincent Kreischer noticed a Dog inside a parked truck at a grocery store’s parking lot in Truth or Consequence, New Mexico, with the temperatures outside of over 90 degrees Fahrenheit and confronted the owner. The woman told him she only left the Dog for 10 minutes, and began to argue with him about how hot it really was. But Officer Kreischer estimated that inside the vehicle would be 114 degrees (45.5 C) after that length of time. When he confronted her, he says she shrugged it off with a laugh and was “callous and carefree” about her dog’s welfare. That’s when he took action. He decided to write her a ticket, and asked her to wait in her car is since, according to her, it wasn’t that hot. “You can wait in the truck and close the door you know, since it’s not that hot,” he responded. Kreischer observed, “She gives me an attitude from word one, and then she doesn’t want to close the door.
