Hospitals across China are overwhelmed as many children and adults show symptoms of fever and colds. Officials blame "Influenza A" and "Human Metapneumovirus," but many compare the outbreak to the COVID-19 surge three years ago.

Hospitals are overwhelmed, with both pediatric and adult departments full, as young and elderly patients alike suffer from fever. Some videos show long queues in pediatric wards late at night, with parents arriving early to secure treatment. The infusion rooms are also crowded.

On December 25, video blogger "Please Fei Ge" shared that he and his wife recently attended an event in Guangzhou. After returning, both developed symptoms of fever, high fevers, body aches, and headaches, similar to the symptoms they experienced when infected with COVID-19.

They later discovered that all 8 or 9 attendees of the event had contracted "A-type influenza." To prevent infecting their children, the couple has been in isolation for three days, still experiencing low-grade fevers.
