Lisa Cook had no problem committing mortgage fraud to get lower rates for herself, but she refuses to lower rates for hardworking Americans—like people in my home state of Florida who are struggling under a crushing housing affordability crisis. My message to the Supreme Court in our amicus brief was simple: either we have Article II of the Constitution or we don’t. Either President Trump is the chief executive or he isn’t. If you or I could fire a fry cook at a restaurant, then the President of the United States can fire a Fed governor who cannot do her job. How can Lisa Cook walk into Wells Fargo and investigate them for fraud when she herself cannot be held accountable by the president for her own deceitful, miscreant behavior? It’s unacceptable. It’s un-American.

First, when it happened doesn't matter. Second, her fraud is actually an ongoing crime. She took out 15- and 30-year mortgages. Every month she makes a mortgage payment based on a lie. If she had told the truth on her mortgage application, her monthly payment would have been much higher. So every month, every time an ACH goes out to the mortgage servicer, she is perpetuating her fraud. Deceitful miscreant

What we haven't heard from Ms. Cook is we haven't heard her say 'I didn't do it.' She just keeps saying the president can't remove her." (The allegations haven't been investigated yet.)

This is chaos you'd expect from a third-world African republic with a pegged currency.
