BREAKING: INEC has introduced downloadable Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) for voters who have misplaced or defaced their original cards ahead of the 2027 general election.

A step to mitigate abuse of this will be the effective use of the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS) machine to accredit voters. Using BVAS machine, voters can either be accredited via either finger prints or facial recognition against their voter information already uploaded electronically on the machine. If there is as much as a 5% BVAS bypass rate in accreditation of voters, then the aim of the convenience associated with printing one’s PVC themselves will be defeated. Also a high BVAS bypass rate is required to rig election numbers so Nigerians must insist BVAS must be used 100% of the time to accredit ALL voters, no bypass whatsoever. #NoBypassOfBVAS

@woye1 I remember asking why a PVC has a polling unit address on it. When an indivual does a transfer, there shouldn't be any need to get another PVC, it is called a 'Permanent Voters Card' for a reason @inecnigeria
