BREAKING: Ipswich Town in advanced talks to appoint Gary O’Neil as their new manager 🚨 Discussions have progressed in the last 48 hours and there is a growing confidence a full agreement can be reached in the coming days.

This appointment will reveal whether Ipswich's success was built on a solid structure or simply Kieran McKenna's brilliance.

Thought Gary O’Neil went to Strasbourg? Does that mean Liam Rosenior will go back to Strasbourg

Not everyone will love it, but O’Neil has already proven he can build competitive teams.

No no and fucking no

From a wolves fan, he will do great for Ipswich. I wish him the very best.

Gary O’Neil to Ipswich feels like a sensible reset after McKenna. Not flashy, not chaotic — just a manager who can make teams awkward, organised and deeply annoying to play against.

great move..

Great signing...seems like the sort of manager that'll have a good run there

It's a great deal

Always rated the guy, could turn out to be a clever appointment if he keeps Ipswich up.

OTBC 🤣

Ipswich going for Gary O’Neil would be a smart, modern appointment. He’s shown real promise as a young manager. 👀

Can somebody please sabotage this

He had an OK tenure at Strasbourg and man is still an elite coach, just needs the right environment, resources and personalities to work wonders, th BlueCo project was demanding for him because of the placement of Strasbourg and ambitions, but at Ipswich he will not be under much pressure to outperform

Gary O'Neill is a good manager

@the_irishguy about to have a stroke tomorrow

He's shown he can organize teams and get results, so Ipswich fans will hope he can bring some stability and build something lasting. 🚜⚽👀

Good job

BlueCo and Clearlake in the mud again lmaoo

Sounds like they're serious about him! Hope the talks wrap up with a handshake very soon. 🤞⚽️

Not very inspiring

Nooooooo !!! Fucking nooooooo !!!

I’ve always said he belongs in the premier league 🔥🔥

Wtf. He's not currently at Strasbourg ?

Lmao

Ffs. No thank you.

Another mourinho... moves around

Gary O’Neil to Ipswich? 👀 Bold move. He did solid work at Wolves with limited budget. Could be a good fit for the Tractor Boys

That's Ipswich down
