🇮🇷🛢️ IMPORTANT: Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz. Iran transmitted this message to all ships in the region. A huge percentage of oil and gas shipments must pass through the Strait of Hormuz … this will have global consequences.

Iran Deputy FM Gharibabadi: The US sent a message requesting negotiations & a resolution of issues approximately 4 or 5 days after the start of the new round of conflict. Any agreement regarding the Strait of Hormuz should only be between Iran & Oman. We will not accept any foreign interference in the Strait of Hormuz. With the implementation of the new agreement, existing temporary routes in the Strait of Hormuz will be closed. A significant portion of the routes for ships entering and exiting Iranian territorial waters will pass through.

IRGC-N Commander Tangsiri: The weapon that we will use during the battlefield on the day of war is different from what is shown in the exercise. If at any time of point, the security apparatus decides to close the strait of Hormuz, our forces will implement this in the shortest time possible. — Today: Some parts of the Strait of Hormuz will be closed for a few hours. They’ll be closed for the smart control exercise of the Strait of Hormuz, to observe safety and navigation principles. Ships will still be able to sail through other parts of the Strait of Hormuz.
