If you target our infrastructure, we will target what remains of our infrastructure in the region. Under no circumstances will we allow America, as a foreign power from outside the region, to interfere in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, emphasizing the need for the non-discriminatory implementation of international law, said that today the world needs genuine, effective, and fair multilateralism more than ever. Speaking at the conference “A Call for a Global Shift,” Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said: “We must move away from militarism and interventionism toward sustainable development, respect for national sovereignty, protection of civilians, and lasting peace.” Regarding the West Asia, he said: “Sustainable security cannot be dictated from outside the region. The countries of the region must find their own solutions without interference from foreign powers.” Araghchi stressed that, from Iran’s perspective, sustainable security can be achieved through dialogue, confidence-building, cooperation, and mutual respect among the countries of the region—not through the military presence of foreign powers.

JUST IN 🇮🇷🇺🇸: Iran's Foreign Minister on Attacks on Regional Countries and the Strait of Hormuz Dr. Abbas Araghchi: For some countries we consider friends, we have allowed passage through the Strait of Hormuz; we permitted China, Russia, India, Iraq, and Pakistan to pass. There is no reason to allow our enemy to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The countries in the region had said verbally that they would not allow the US to use our land against Iran, but in practice, this happened. We cannot believe that this issue occurred without the knowledge of these countries. Our message to the countries of the region is not to allow their land, airspace, and sea to be used against us; we do not attack neighboring countries, only American bases and interests. Even in war, we attacked infrastructures whose shareholders are American. Anyone who participates in an attack on Iran will be a legitimate target of Iran's attacks. The US bases have been established to support Israel, and the US will sacrifice all the countries in the region to support the Zionists; I hope the countries of the region realize this.

Iran FM Spox in response to claim that Saudi Arabia is preventing the US from attacking Iran: It is a positive thing that all countries in the region recognize that they will be affected by the future situation in the region. The war of the United States against Iran is a war against the entire region. Over the past 5 months, we have witnessed that the presence of the United States in the region has increased insecurity and instability. It is natural for countries to try to prevent the escalation of insecurity, but experience has shown that nothing deters the enemy except the power and deterrent capability of Iran.

In the past, people often looked at the Carpathians mainly as a region of tourism, climate issues and support for local communities. Today, the Carpathians can and should become one of the key Engines of economic growth, investment and energy exports. Second, the Carpathian region should become an important part of EU-policies with proper resources for their implementation. So in the North, we work with the Baltic and Nordic countries. In the South, we have cooperation in the Danube-region and around the Black Sea. We also work closely with the Balkan countries and with South-Eastern Europe. And the Carpathian Initiative turns the Carpathians into the strongest link and connection for all neighboring regions. From the opening speech at the Inaugural C8 Summit in Ukraine. (3/3)
