Commentary on social media has included calls for identifying the criminal regime agents involved and reporting them to the campaign, which was established by King Reza Pahlavi and a part of it is intended to document the totalitarian regime's crimes and abuses for future accountability. Parandak Air Defense Group 99 is an Iranian Air Defense unit within the Army’s Ground Forces and operates under the Khatam-al-Anbia Air Defense Headquarters, considered one of the regime's most strategic military commands. The unit is responsible for managing anti-aircraft systems, providing air-defense coverage, and conducting low-altitude protection for five of Iran’s nuclear facilities. This highlights the depth of defections within strategic units of Iran's Armed Forces. Such acts of defections, have become commonplace in Iran following the launch of the “National Cooperation to Save Iran” campaign by King Reza Pahlavi. The campaign seeks to organize and coordinate large-scale defections from inside Iran’s armed forces.
