A few hours ago, an Iranian ballistic missile was intercepted at exo-atmospheric altitude (150–500 km) in the airspace over northeastern Syria, near the Turkish border. 🔵 It is likely that the AEGIS air-defense system of a U.S. guided-missile destroyer operating in the Mediterranean was involved, using an SM-3 interceptor to shoot down the Iranian ballistic missile.
