There is now a strong U.S. proposal for a mutual halt to strikes on critical infrastructure. If this can become the first de-escalatory step – a step toward ending Russian strikes on our critical infrastructure and our strikes in response – then Ukraine is ready to support de-escalation. We see that the Russians feel the pressure from our precise strikes on Russia’s war economy. And so far, no one has seen any genuine desire on Russia’s part to move toward ending the war. But if our American partners can ensure that Russia is genuinely ready to stop this war aimed at destroying life – and to do so for real and for the long term – Ukraine will take its own de-escalatory steps. Peace is needed. Energy, food routes, critical infrastructure – all of this must be part of the discussion on ending the strikes. We need a strong and fair solution, and not just for the “elections,” but for good. We expect specifics from our partners.

Confirmed damage includes one An-12, two An-26s, and three helicopters. The strike comes days after President Donald J. Trump posted to Truth Social on Sept. 14 that Russia and Ukraine had agreed to halt strikes on each other's energy infrastructure. Zelenskyy disputed that any deal was finalized. He said Ukraine would only pause strikes if Russia genuinely stopped hitting Ukraine's power grid and other critical infrastructure. Russia has continued striking Ukrainian civilian infrastructure in the same window. A Sept. 12 Russian strike killed nine people and damaged infrastructure across several regions. We let China into the WTO and gave them permanent normal trade relations. They came in as an emerging market — meaning they could protect their own economy with tariffs while selling into ours essentially unfettered. The theory in 1999 was that China would get wealthy, rise peacefully, and gradually become more like the West. We were too arrogant to question it. The Chinese understood us far better than we understood them. So they took our technology, copied our intellectual property, and pegged their currency to ours, which meant when we debased the dollar through deficit spending — the most regressive tax you can put on working people — their export costs came down right alongside ours. They ran 10, 11 percent growth for years. Built a navy. Built a military. And became a global superpower largely on the back of deals we made with good intentions and almost no strategic foresight.

People are so concerned about AI taking their job that they can’t see the massive opportunity right in front of them. The economy that's coming won't run on wages. It'll run on infrastructure. Agents will do the work, generate value, and settle the transactions, and all of that activity will live on top of a small number of layer 1 blockchains. Own that layer, and you own a piece of everything they produce. For the first time in history, anyone with an internet connection can put 10% of their income into the same asset class as a sovereign wealth fund. This is humanity's pension plan in the post-AGI world… a way to participate in the invisible economy that's being built right now. Owning the rails is how you unfuck your future.
