Because the second you start seriously examining the possibility of “architects” behind this reality, the conversation stops being fun sci‑fi and turns into a collective panic attack. And if the Hitchhiker Effect is a legitimate phenomenon, then what does that say about the structure of the world we’re living in? You’re looking at a society forced to confront the idea that reality leaks, that interaction with the phenomenon follows you home, and that the reality we trust isn't that safe at all.
