False information. In June of 2023 the Republicans in the house passed a comprehensive border bill, HR 2. This was and still is the strongest Border Bill in History. When it reached the senate Schumer refused to advance it. Joe Biden said he would veto it. The crisis at the border is intentional. 100% by design. No amount of money will secure the border if the administration wants to use the BP as a welcoming committee instead of security. Biden/Harris have also bypassed the border entirely by flying several hundred thousand illegals directly from their home countries to the interior of the US. In 2017 under President Trumps policies Border Patrol total encounters hit the lowest point since 1993 at just 310,531. Upon Biden/Harris' election they immediately reversed Trump's policies, stopped border wall construction, removed some completed sections of the wall, sold off the prefabricated ready to go sections and instructed CBP to stop enforcing the border and start processing people that came across. Combined with incentives such as free housing, cell phones, transportation around the interior of the US and prepaid debit cards this led to a surge of immigrants rushing the border which further overwhelmed the CBP. The result was the record high illegal immigration of all time in 2023 of 3,201,144. Over 10 times the level of 2017 under Trump.
