🫯 A conflicting physical ontology ! One of the strangest properties in particle physics is the spin. The term spin is a historical misnomer. Electrons (𝑒⁻) do not physically rotate like a spinning top or a globe. Spin is a fundamental quantum property known as intrinsic angular momentum which exists as an inherent characteristic of the particle, much like its mass or electric charge. In quantum mechanics, electrons are treated as fundamental point-like particles with zero size, making the concept of physical 3D rotation nonsensical. A rotating electrical charge creates a magnetic field. An electron naturally possesses its own detectable magnetic field. Even though the electron isn't physically spinning, it acts exactly as if it were because of that. Moreover the spin of an 𝑒⁻ has orientation. As 𝑒⁻ carry a negative electric charge, their inherent spin turns them into tiny bar magnets. Two possible orientations exist in the natural state of the 𝑒⁻, spin up and spin down. When measured along a specific direction (called the z-axis) the 𝑒⁻ can only display one of the two orientation state, up or down. But the strangeness goes a bit further; when an 𝑒⁻ is misplaced or removed from its own orbit, it takes two full circles (720°) to return to its original quantum state. The spin isn’t motion, it’s an undeniable static, resilient force of this elementary particle, listed as one the fundamental constant of nature. 🔗

First video of LK-99 Full Levitation, aka flux-pinning This video was just posted to the Chinese video-sharing site BiliBili and claims to be a highly pure synthesized sample of LK-99. What is the physical phenomenon behind this and what does it mean? Levitation of superconducting materials is a phenomenon unique to what is called Type-II superconductors, and is an effect whereby magnetic field lines becomes 'trapped' as it passes through the material, providing the force needed to levitate. These are the popular images and videos of cryogenically-cooled discs floating above a magnet frequently seen online and in the pinned post on my profile. You can think of this like strands of hair being caught in gum - the gum is suspended in mid-air by adhering strongly to the hair as the hair passes through it. The hair in this case is magnetic field lines and the gum is the Type-II superconductor. Just like hair comes in individual strands, or in other words hair is 'quantized' or 'discrete', so is the flux trapped at the 'pinning centers' quantized in what are called 'magnetic vortices' - the quantization of pinned flux lines is a key property and distinguishing characteristic of Type-II superconductors (although technically can occur in Type-I superconductors if the material thickness is smaller than the London penetration depth, which is indeed very small - specifics for the physics nerds out there). Flux-pinning is entirely unique to superconductors and is also wholly distinct from the Meissner effect. It is not a property of diamagnets or diamagnetism. At TRIUMF I contributed to flux-pinning studies in Niobium crystal superconducting radio-frequency cavities used for particle acceleration. In that application, trapped flux poses an issue by increasing the remnant surface resistivity of the cavity, which has the effect of decreasing its effective quality factor or Q-factor, which is a measurement of a resonators efficiency. SRF cavities typically have Q-factors of 10E10 and trapped flux at pinning centers reduces the maximum effective accelerating electric field used to drive charged particle bunches close to the speed of light. Flux pinning is thought to arise in some Type-II superconductors by small imperfections in the crystal, also called volume defects, that enable flux to penetrate the material. In SRF cavities an issue that arises is any magnetic field that is passing through the material, e.g. by the Earth's background field, can become pinned or trapped inside the cavity as it transitions into a superconducting state. See some attached plots in the comments from a study showing how the surface resistivity of SRF cavities increases the more there is a background field as the cavity transitions into superconducting state. This is the first video I am aware of that claims to show the flux-pinned levitation of a LK-99 sample. If this is in fact what is happening, then it is a very unique and promising finding of this new materials properties and potential for future study. If this is real then it is truly ground-breaking

So, let me get this straight SpaceWeatherNews . Earth’s magnetic field is weakening right now, and it’s happening faster than expected. When you look back, the record shows the field didn’t always drift slowly either, sometimes it collapsed and re organized and things got beyond chaotic. And we have synchronized layers of environmental fails in human history. We have abandoned settlements, cultural collapses, and reset layers that line up with those same physical events. When a spacecraft leaves Earth, it doesn’t just fire its engines and head straight to its destination. In many missions, especially those going beyond low Earth orbit, there’s a more subtle and elegant strategy at play, one that uses gravity itself as part of the navigation system. This is often called a gravity assist, or a slingshot maneuver. But in the case of missions like #Artemis II, what’s being used is a closely related idea known as a free-return trajectory. At first glance, it might sound simple: the spacecraft goes to the Moon, loops around it, and comes back. But the physics behind it is anything but simple. Instead of relying on continuous propulsion, the spacecraft follows a carefully calculated path through the gravitational field of the Earth–Moon system. It is launched with just the right speed and direction so that, as it approaches the Moon, the Moon’s gravity bends its trajectory. The spacecraft is effectively flung around the Moon, redirected onto a path that naturally brings it back toward Earth. No major engine burn is needed for the return. Small trajectory corrections may still be required, but gravity does the heavy lifting. That’s the key. This kind of trajectory is not just efficient, it’s also safe. If something goes wrong with the spacecraft’s engines or onboard systems, gravity itself ensures the return. It’s an inherent backup plan, built into the trajectory from the very beginning. The same fundamental idea appears in gravity assists used across the Solar System. When a spacecraft flies past a planet, it can gain or lose speed by exchanging momentum with that planet. It’s less about gaining energy, and more about shaping a trajectory that guarantees a return. To understand why this works, it helps to stop thinking in straight lines. In space, motion follows curves defined by gravity. The spacecraft is constantly falling, first toward Earth, then toward the Moon, and then back toward Earth again. What looks like a loop is really a continuous free fall through a changing gravitational landscape. This way of navigating space reveals something deeper. In the summer of 2023, I cold emailed Jensen Huang and asked to capture a NeRF of him at SIGGRAPH. He responded in about an hour and said yes. A radiance field is, in the simplest terms, akin to a 3D photograph. A moment in time, so completely reconstructed that you can move through it and see it from angles the original cameras never occupied. NeRFs were the original method. Gaussian splatting, which debuted at that same SIGGRAPH, has since become the dominant form of radiance field. I called my late friend James, who told me we needed to begin practicing immediately. We ran capture after capture for weeks until we consistently got the capture time down to ~30 seconds with one camera. Later, in a hallway at the LA Convention Center during SIGGRAPH, I captured the portrait you're seeing now, a full 360° gaussian splat of Jensen, rendered here as a 2D flythrough. Afterward, I continued the conversation with him and members of his team to make the case for radiance fields as a foundational representation for imaging. To my surprise, they listened. Three years later, NVIDIA has several works, including NuRec, fVDB, 3DGRUT, and gsplat all utilizing radiance fields. The landscape has evolved enough that the reasoning is obvious. Gaussian splatting has begun to ship across some of the world’s largest industries, including autonomous vehicles, AEC, geospatial, media and entertainment, robotics, e-commerce, hospitality. It’s become clear that lifelike 3D is here to stay. And yet I think we will look back and be disappointed by how late we started taking 3D portraits of the people around us, just like how we have sparse 2D photos of our grandparents and great grandparents. We have billions of photographs of the people we know and love, but almost no radiance fields of them. I'll be returning to SIGGRAPH in LA where this was initially captured three years ago, with the landscape looking significantly different. Radiance fields are more under deployed than ever relative to what they can do. I'm excited for the future of imaging, and for 2D to transition into 3D. I have a few things up my sleeve that I think will make that case plainly.

The discourse around the Eze penalty last night is fascinating. If nothing else it provides Arteta with an excuse as to how his team has been hard done by and robbed. He loves excuses. It’s a fascinating situation because I actually think the right outcome was reached albeit through the wrong process. Once given on the field under the current rules it shouldn't have been overturned. For that Arsenal can feel aggrieved. Don't forget Arsenal were the beneficiaries of an incredibly soft penalty in Leverkusen. It wasn’t overturned. I find the attached video interesting because it clearly shows how minimal the contact is. The defender doesn’t pin Ezes foot to the ground. Doesn’t smash into it. It brushes down the side of it. It’s where the still pictures of it were wildly misleading. Are we really saying that contact such as that is worthy of a penalty? What’s clear in the video is that Eze has absolutely made the most of the slight contact. I love the straight left leg. A very natural position. It’s a brilliant dive and normally it would have been rewarded. By saying that is a stone wall penalty all we are doing is encouraging such theatrics and cheating. Whenever you hear the words “that was clever” by a commentator they are intimating the player has cheated/made the most of it. We complain about refs all the time but what chance do they have when players are doing stuff like this. Until players are punished properly there is no disincentive for players to keep doing this stuff. I also find it fascinating when you have a foot brushed like this. When you compare it to all the holding/pushing/grappling at other times. Sometimes a contact sport and others not. Is this really what football has become?

PMP vs. NDC and INEC By: "Sadiq Dasin Adamawa" I have finally obtained the Certified True Copy (CTC) of the judgment in this case. After reading it, I now have a better understanding of what happened. Here are my observations: 1. NDC was registered by a court order. I am convinced that if INEC had registered the party through its normal administrative process, it would not have allowed NDC to use a logo that allegedly belonged to another party. 2. Avoiding disputes like this over the registration of a new political party is one of the reasons why the coalition chose to join an already existing party instead. After reading the case, I realized that the same judge who ordered INEC to register NDC later issued another order last Friday directing that NDC's registration be set aside. According to my understanding, the judge changed his position for the following reasons: i. When he made the initial order on 10 December 2025 directing INEC to register NDC, he was unaware that the Peace Movement Party (PMP) had already claimed ownership of the two-finger logo and had previously submitted it to INEC as part of its own registration application. ii. NDC did not inform the judge that the two-finger logo had already been claimed by PMP, even though NDC was aware of it. In other words, NDC failed to disclose a material fact to the court. Although, as a general rule, once a judge has delivered judgment in a case, the proper remedy is an appeal, there are exceptions where the same judge may reopen or set aside the judgment if: A. The judgment is shown to be a nullity. B. The judgment was obtained by fraud. C. There was suppression of a material fact. D. The judgment was obtained in violation of the constitutional right to a fair hearing. In my view, this case involves: Suppression of a material fact; and A violation of the constitutional right to a fair hearing. I say this because the two-finger logo allegedly belongs to PMP, not NDC, and PMP was not aware that NDC had used the logo to obtain a court-ordered registration from INEC. Secondly, after reviewing the record of proceedings, I found something surprising. In its own affidavit, NDC openly admitted that both it and PMP submitted the same logo to INEC, and further admitted that PMP had submitted the logo before NDC did. Thirdly, in that same affidavit, NDC also admitted before the court that: "The existence of PMP's prior submission of the logo formed part of the considerations that informed INEC's administrative decision to discontinue or decline the registration process of NDC." In my opinion, this is where NDC made a serious mistake. They brought this problem upon themselves. Based on that affidavit alone, even if NDC appeals, I think it will be difficult for the appellate court to restore its registration. With only about seven months before the elections, when would NDC have enough time to conduct primaries and submit the names of its candidates? In my view, NDC made a major blunder.

Everything about that clip feels staged. The direction he came from doesn’t line up with any Jewish areas where you’d find men in black hats. He’s wearing gloves and a mask at 6:30 a.m., when it’s cool but not freezing, around 45°F that morning in Brooklyn on November 5, 2025. That’s premeditated behavior. But he leaves the hat on. That’s not caution; that’s costume. The hat itself doesn’t match any Syrian Jewish style, and the area where it happened is majority Syrian, where most don’t even wear hats. It’s not the kind worn by Ashkenazi Haredi Jews either. It looks like someone trying to look Jewish, not someone who is. Too many tells. None of them make sense unless it was meant to look this way. As everyone has pointed out, there are cameras everywhere in that area, it's a Jewish school. But that is the point, isn’t it? The hat was not to hide. It was to be seen. I look forward to seeing who is caught, regardless of background. People live chronically online now. The hatred that festers on this platform seeps into real life. You think no one would play into that? Even Hamas’ spokesperson Abu Obaida adjusted his tone with every speech to match whatever is trending in the streets. People called the D.C. murders a “false flag” too. The hatred for Jews runs so deep it bends logic itself. With the kind of vitriol unleashed on social media and in the streets today, a small staged act of vandalism or fear-baiting is not unthinkable. Your own hatred for us justifies it. For God’s sake, read the responses. We are living in an age where hate does not just appear. It performs.

Three more replications of diamagnetism in LK-99 A re-cap of who they are and where to find them: Andrew McCalip working out of the Varda Space Industries laboratories has replicated the apparent diamagnetic properties of LK-99 in the video attached. He did so following the recipe originally published by the Korean team using tools like a blowtorch and oven. A team of Hao Wu, Li Yang, Bichen Xiao, Haixin Chang at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology have claimed successful replication of diamagnetism in a sample of LK-99 with a more extended write-up which is available on arxiv: with photos attached in comments below. This comes in addition to the first reported replication of diamagnetism which to the best of my knowledge belongs to Iris COMMS OPEN (2/3) Вы/ж. р. , in addition to now several others at Chinese research universities. ~~~~~~~~ An emerging interpretation of this physical phenomenon of partial levitation is that the superconducting pathways inside the material are one-dimensional, and so do not fully support levitation in all three dimensions. Normally in a Type-II superconductor current can flow and be conducted internally in different directions however the magnetic field might induce it, as well as trap or pin magnetic flux lines internally, thus the Meissner effect might be considered the combination of several phenomenon and properties at once. Notably, replications of this partial levitation / diamagnetism have been accompanied with photos of it NOT being attracted to a magnet, showing that this is not simply a magnetized flake of material. The speed and ease of replicating the diamagnetism of LK-99 is profound - normally in preparing these materials there is an extensive amount of artisinal expertise and practical know-how required to get the recipe just right. Today I had my first demo drive in a Tesla. It was also my first time ever sitting in one. This was the first car I’ve ever sat in the driver’s seat of where I didn’t touch the steering wheel for over 20 miles. Before I even got to the car, the people who had demoed it before me were an older married couple who were absolutely euphoric. They thought it was so cool that the car could drive itself. The Tesla employee told me this happens all the time. People come back from demo drives and tell the next test driver that they’re about to have an amazing experience. Little did I know, I’d end up carrying on the torch to the next couple demoing it after me. There was a ton of construction where I demoed the car, and FSD handled the entire drive extremely well. And yes, it can go through a drive-thru and stop at each window. The only thing I had to do was tap the pedal because it wouldn’t leave on its own, but it was still wild seeing the AI stop perfectly at the second window and wait. There are a million things I could write about why a Tesla feels like a better car and how much more it offers compared to a regular car. But for now, I’ll stick to FSD. There were only two moments that made me a little uneasy. The first was pretty minor. The car slightly hesitated going up a driveway, but quickly made up its mind. The second was more noticeable. I didn’t realize the car was nagging me. Once I touched the steering wheel, nothing happened, so I pulled it right a little harder, then let go. After that, the car turned left and crossed a double yellow on a backroad. (and yes I know you can sue the volume knob) I’m not totally sure if it was trying to pull over or what it was doing. I wanted to see how it would handle the situation, but there were cars coming, so I took over and corrected it. One of the coolest moments was when I thought FSD was glitching because it came to a complete stop in the middle of a busy road. Then I looked around and realized why. On the right side, there was a bicyclist waiting at a yellow crosswalk. The cars behind me didn’t honk, and the Tesla stopping actually incentivized another car in the right lane to stop and let him pass. The car is almost too nice to pedestrians, because 99.999% of humans would’ve blown through that, especially with no flashing light. For 99.9% of the drive, the car navigated confidently and smoothly. It was a real “feel the AGI” moment. Please do not let the media, the general public, or anyone else convince you that this technology is just some kind of auto assist or glorified cruise control. This is undoubtedly getting extremely close to feeling superhuman. You still have to pay attention to the road, but after experiencing it myself, I’d be shocked if HW4 Teslas aren’t unsupervised within the next couple years. The car was extremely smooth. There was no harsh braking, and it even avoided something in the road that I didn’t see. Driving with FSD made me realize I probably wasn’t driving as well as I could be. Hopefully, eventually, everyone’s car can be as mindful as a Tesla. I’ve never seen a brand so far removed from the public’s sentiment. I’m so happy I ordered one.
