"Poison pill" is lobby-speak for a bright-line rule you don't want on the record. Voter ID is an eligibility check. A ban on members trading on what they hear in committee is a conflict rule. Different jobs — record the vote.

When all the Senate Democrats vote "no" in lockstep on this bill that requires 60 votes to pass, Republicans across the board need to educate. People don't even know the three branches of government, so there are people who think a simple 51 majority to pass whatever you want.

They’re finally getting serious! Verifying identities and banning stock speculation that’s what the public wants. Anyone who opposes this is acting out of self-interest! The “Save America Act” must be passed.
