Today is a historic day for workers in Canada. The NDPs anti-scab legislation, that gives power back to workers - has passed third reading in Parliament. Now, workers have the power to fight for the respect they deserve. To the workers, unions, and labour activists who fought for this - thank you.

More than 60% of workers are forced to wait 400 days or longer just to get a first contract after they vote to unionize. This is corporate corruption. The Faster Labor Contracts Act would make fast first contracts a reality for millions of American workers — and the Teamsters are proud to be leading the charge for this simple yet critical legislation.

“Every single day the Teamsters Union is building momentum and worker power at Amazon. Jeff Bezos needs to understand he isn't dealing with an organization that's going to go away. We might not have the money Bezos has but we definitely have one thing — we've got the workers on our side, and the intestinal fortitude, courage, and conviction to take on the fight.” Listen to Teamsters General President Sean M. O'Brien layout how the Teamsters Union is going to unionize Amazon and why the $2 trillion company's corrupt business model is a threat to every worker and industry in America.

The Trump administration just proposed a massive new $100,000 fee on H-1B visas. The fee would apply to petitions for skilled foreign workers, including many already living in the United States. The move is designed to protect American workers and reduce abuse of the program. Another major step to put American jobs first.

When the DOJ went after Google's monopoly, the company tried to silence its workforce. But workers fought back with the Alphabet Workers Union -- and the NLRB declared that the tech giant can no longer force their workers into submission. This is the power of a union.
