BDS stipend in Jamia Millia Islamia University is more than 20K! I think its becz of central university. I was paid 17K pm 8 yrs back! 12K for mbbs interns who work so hard is too low! Din ka 500 bhi nhi ? Shame on govt..

I had predicted this in 2024. UP under Yogi Adityanath has overtaken the states of Karnataka and Gujarat in overall contribution to the economy. From 8th position to the third position in GDP contribution.❤️🔥 According to the Reserve Bank of India, at present Uttar Pradesh contributes 9.1% to India's economy, after Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, which is the highest, and in this regard Uttar Pradesh has overtaken the states of Karnataka and Gujarat. UP slowly overtook KA and Gujarat. While KA focussed on Muslim appeasement and Language supremacy, UP focussed on Investments and inclusive growth. Apart from this, in 2016–17 the annual per capita income in Uttar Pradesh was 54,564 rupees, which became 1,09,844 in 2024–25, and in 2025–26 this same annual per capita income is going to be 1,20,000 rupees. Yogi government has released the state’s Economic Survey, according to which Uttar Pradesh’s economy, in terms of size, is now going to overtake Pakistan’s economy. Pakistan, with a population of 25 crore, has a total economy of 35 lakh crore rupees, while India’s state of Uttar Pradesh, with roughly the same population, is going to have a total economy of 36 lakh crore rupees. Yogi and the BJP have the welfare of its people and the state at heart. Congress and Siddaramiah have the welfare of the Gandhi Dynasty at heart. Yogi Adityanath well deserved. The government has said that medical interns will be paid the same amount, UGX 1,268, 929 which is subject to tax resulting to a net pay of UGX 1 million. To me, this is only a short term solution. What happens to the upcoming cohorts? Shall medical interns have to go on strike every time just to get paid? We must end this cycle once and for all. Let the government scrap the National Health Policy that was sneaked in and come up with a properly drafted, permanent solution to the remuneration and welfare of medical interns. And let’s be clear: the demand is UGX 4 million, not UGX 1 million. We need a lasting solution, not temporary fixes every time doctors and interns protest.

Interns are being forced to eat from the hostel mess even though the food quality is so bad that students have suffered colonic edema, intestinal perforation, vomiting and diarrhoea Many had shifted to an FSSAI approved tiffin service due to poor mess hygiene and irregular duty hours. But on 19 June, when the tiffin provider came, the vice principal seized the food and the principal grabbed the provider by the collar and started shouting When the interns went to talk, they were blamed for not intervening during the scuffle. The principal then issued a 2 day hostel eviction notice to the entire intern batch and threatened to withhold their June stipend. This is not just harassment. It is a complete misuse of authority These are MBBS doctors in their mandatory internship, not hostages.
