This will give the BC Energy Regulator (BCER) the authority to oversee renewable energy projects like wind and solar. There is no energy transition. Oil, coal and gas still supply 87% of the world's energy - roughly the same share as 20 years ago. Despite trillions in subsidies, solar and wind barely register on the global chart, accounting for just 6.5% of the primary energy supply. Fossil fuel use keeps rising, particularly in China and India. The renewable revolution can still only power a small fraction of the planet, and only when the sun shines or the wind blows. This is the data the headlines leave out. The transition isn't happening. It's a slogan.

The data is clear - there is no "global shift" Globally the world is using more coal, more gas, more oil and more nuclear. It’s also using more solar and more wind and more of everything else - but globally solar and wind are not REPLACING fossil fuels - they are merely ADDITIONAL. Further, Australia is the only nation in world attempting to replace its fossil fuels with prominently intermittent weather dependent sources of energy - solar and wind. No other nation is doing it, because it’s uneconomic and will only impoverish a nation if foolishly attempted. Blackout Bowen’s lies must be called out, because they are going to destroy Australia.

Altogether #Michiganders pay almost .71 cpg in taxes per every gallon of gas! Witless Governor Gretchen Whitmer wants to raise the gas tax by another .19 cpg this year. It has to #STOP 3 separate taxes on 1 gallon of gas is absurd. Michigan, it’s time to #FIGHT BACK!

I met Craig, the first Octopus Cosy 9 Heat Pump customer in Yorkshire, at The Energy Tech Summit. He has solar panels & battery, heats his home with the heat pump, charges his electric car at home - and drives 12,000 miles a year. And pays nothing for his energy. With solar to generate his electricity, battery to shift it to the evening & sell it to the grid, and a smart tariff to optimise all his electricity. This is the sort of stuff the fossil fuel industry know is coming and its one reason you see such vitriol. Of course, we'll still use fossil fuels for many years - but by ditching petrol/diesel and gas, people like Craig are living the cheaper, cleaner future and we shouldn't allow incumbency to slow it down.
