At least nine people have been killed and 50 injured in violent clashes between police and protesters at the US consulate in Karachi, Pakistan. Hundreds of people had gathered to protest the killing of Iran’s Supreme leader Ali Khamenei in US-Israeli strikes on Tehran. Clashes broke out when police tried to stop protesters from storming the consulate. Thousands of protesters also gathered in Islamabad, Lahore and Skardu where an UN office was set on fire.
