I can’t believe these fucking treasonous traitors get away with this shit. No wonder why no one trusts the government. It’s a safe haven for criminals.

Gaetz had neither the experience or maturity to successfully run the DOJ, but he would ll prosecute anyone for Trump.

Don't forget that Congress was set to release its findings on his ethics investigation on Friday. He's now effectively killed the report.

Speaker Mike Johnson is asked how Matt Gaetz resigning from the House already to take the role as AG if confirmed will effect the House Ethics Committee's investigation into Matt. The Committee can't do anything to a former member of Congress but they can release a report.

JUST IN: Matt Gaetz has resigned from Congress catching Speaker Johnson "by surprise," after Trump nominated Gaetz to be the next Attorney General. "[Gaetz] issued his resignation letter effective immediately..." "That caught us by surprise a little bit, but I asked him what the reasoning was and he said, 'Well, you can't have too many absences.'" "Under Florida State law, there's about an eight-week period to select and fill in a vacant seat."

Resigning from Congress should not allow Members to avoid accountability for allegations as serious as those faced by Matt Gaetz. The Ethics Committee has often released reports on former Members. That's why I'm forcing a vote on the release of the Gaetz Report.

Eric Trump on Matt Gaetz weaponizing the DOJ as AG. “I’ve received 111 subpoenas in the last 8 years coming from Congress & Senate. They have tried to destroy our family…I had never gotten so much as a parking ticket but they have come after us relentlessly.” And Matt Gaetz is going to weaponize the DOJ? Matt Gaetz will be delivering & serving Justice.
