An 11–1 split makes me think the lone male holdout was treating this as a referendum on women and was unable to dispassionately consider the narrow legal question put before him. Sort of like you. So much for women being the emotional ones.

GoFundMe total for Emma Schols: $42,000 GoFundMe total for Lindsay Clancy: $1 million and counting I wish this wasn't real, but here we are. This is sick 🤢

They'll retry it. Good. Don't let "mental health" become a get-out-of-murder card for the worst thing a parent can do.

Mistrial in Massachusetts. Meanwhile Illinois filings say another mom was texting about Clancy hours before her 2-year-old was found dead. One case stalled. One is in the docs.

SPOT on! She clearly was sane enough that she knew what she was doing was wrong. But let me guess: despite all your lamentations, you STILL think parenting is for everyone. Parents molesting their children was enough for me to see how wrong you are on that belief

Excellent commentary, especially re: the "imaginary voice". Whenever a crime is committed w/claims of hearing an imaginary voice, I think of the Son of Sam killer, David Berkowitz, who said the neighbor's dog spoke to him. Berkowitz admitted it was all bs for an insanity defense.

Let's hope those corrupt jurors are sued after this, and that this fuels a change for the law. Insane people should get a similar sentence as normal criminal, simply get additional mental treatment; but remain removed from society for the same about of time as a normal criminal.

You are correct, Matt! That evil deserves to rot in prison.

What a wonderful world it would be if men weren’t so pussy whipped. Take back control, men. Women are running amok because of your cowardice.

None of her fancy doctors even considered that Lindsey has Narcissistic Personality Disorder. It’s narcissistic to doctor and diagnosis shop. It’s narcissistic to worry about your meditation practice. It’s certainly narcissistic to take your children away from a loving father.

Matt- I respect your logic. I think you have overlooked the "hearing voices" manifestation. Schizophrenics are unpredictable & dangerous if they go off their meds; they hear multiple voices. I know she isn't schizo, but voices can be real but are usually frequent & hers weren't.

I listened to the Massachusetts legal stipulations as explained by the judge and not guilty by means of insanity was basically able to be expanded to not guilty because drugs, pharmaceuticals, hormones and had no limits or levels expounded upon or actually provided in the directive of the judge. Basically if you even suspect that drugs, mental illness or hormones or anything could have played a factor in the crime you could give a reasonable doubt verdict. Their law is a terrible one. Im actually trying to find the statues and read them. The judge should have read the actual statutes and this would have exposed the flaws in their broad generalizations enabling any claim of mental or chemical duress to relieve the burden of guilt. This is incomprehensible and I am so glad that this man took issue with the law which is inherently flawed.
