St Thomas 6’6 Sophomore Wing Nolan Minnesale has been the most impressive Mid Major NBA prospect in college basketball this season. For the season Minnesale had a standout year where he averaged 20/5/4 along with 2 steals a game while shooting 51% from the field. Standing at 6’6 with a 7 foot inch plus wingspan, along with good athleticism, Minnesale has the tools and frame you want from a modern NBA Wing along with the skill. His mix of finishing, passing, feel, off ball instincts, spot up shooting, defensive versatility, athleticism, and rebounding for his age and size is extremely rare and valuable. Minnesale was one of the best big creators in college basketball this season where he finished in the 88th percentile for PNR play and 92th percentile for Isolation scoring. Been watching a lot of footage of 2028 QB and now Alabama commit Charles Scott Jr. According to 247 in 2025 the 6’5, 255 lb sophomore threw for around 3,600 yards and 41 TDS on 178 completions. Only throwing 4 INTs!!! Scott Jr (son of his high school coach) has obvious massive upside given his size. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that already as a sophomore, he has an SEC build. The Good: - Kid is LARGE, much like Alabama’s recent five star commit Elijah Haven, Scott’s size allows him a full view of everything going on around him on the field. Mechanics benefit from his size - strong throwing platform. - Flashes plenty of natural strengths, including an explosive arm that doesn’t seem to have to work very hard to push the ball vertically. - Even as a developing HS quarterback, Scott Jr already shows a lot of finesse. Accuracy in highlight tape (provided below from Scottboyz on YouTube) is on the upswing, especially on layered and touch passes. - Although not technically a massive run threat, Scott Jr, given his size, can stress defenders on the ground, especially in short yardage situations. Areas for Refinement: - Shows promise with timing routes, but will get better as he matures over the next couple of season. - Mechanics are not fully polished as to be expected from a young QB, but raw traits still shine. Footwork under pressure! - Will grow into faster processing speeds as he continues his path. Will need this as he makes the talent jump to the SEC. All-in-all, this is a rising recruit in the 2028 class - one that will garner a ton of attention over the next several months, especially now that Alabama fully seated at the head of the table. Another potential eval masterclass from Kalen DeBoer, Ryan Grubb, and Bryan Ellis. The scheme fit for Scott Jr is perfect at Alabama. The size and arm talent are there, with touch on the way. Combined with intangibles such as high football IQ (coaches son) and a very strong relationship with Tide staff - this is a solid pickup for Alabama. The QB position remains in great hands moving forward in Tuscaloosa.

19 year old 6’7 Guard Kameron Taylor is one of the most intriguing longterm NBA Draft Prospects. For the season Taylor averaged 19/5/3 while also averaging 22/4/3 while shooting 47% from the field an 35% from three on 5 attempts a game in Big South play. Taylor is one of the quickest players in college basketball at 6’7 who uses his mix of speed, first step, and vertical athleticism to be one of the most intriguing scorers in college basketball. Taylor uses his athleticism to get to the rim and draw fouls at an elite level, where he shot 59% at the rim on 188 attempts. Taylor is also a high level mid range scorer for his height who also has great touch on his floaters. Taylor’s mix of athleticism, pace, and versatile scoring helped him be one of the efficient PNR scorers in CBB where he finished in the 90th percentile in PNR play on 103 attempts. Taylor is also a skilled passer for his height who can create scoring looks for his teammates, or find an open player with his passing vision, Taylor also does this without turning the ball over. Taylor’s mix of 3 level scoring potential, athleticism, defensive upside, free thro drawing, pace, and playmaking for his size and age is extremely valuable and he has one of the highest ceilings of any player in college basketball. Taylor was one of 5 underclassmen in CBB this season who had an AST% of 15, make 35 threes or more, and had 15 dunks or more, joining AJ Dybantsa, Cam Boozer, Nolan Minessale, and Tyler Tanner.

Elijah Brooks played the last two years for us at HCU and is available in the portal. He’s the real deal: • Two-year starter who led our team in scoring (12.3 PPG), finished second in rebounding (4.5 RPG), and led in steals (1.5 SPG) this season. • Switchable defender who can guard 1-4 effectively. • 6’4” PG (6’3” without shoes, 6’4” with shoes. We measure). • American Conference+ level athlete — plays downhill, explosive vertical athlete with high-level strength and burst. • Extremely high basketball IQ — Elijah initiated our offense from the point, which included seven formations and over 50 sets/variations. • Developed into an elite pick-and-roll player — rarely missed a pocket pass or read. Float game established. • Barkley game (watch the 11/27/24 game vs. NAU for the full Barkley bag including 29 PTS on 13-19 FG). Most teams run a double at him and are forced to play in rotation. • Elite cutter off the ball • Game-changer in transition with his speed and vision • Career 189/381 (.496 FG%) — all at the NCAA Division I level • Broke his hand this season, but it’s fully healed with no restrictions. He’s been working out daily in our gym and is 100% ready to go. There will be no issue with the medical hardship as we have x-rays, documents, and info from doctors, specialists and surgeons. He appeared in 8 game, all in the first semester. Call me with any questions. I’ll tell you everything you need to know. Note: Last season we had two high level players at HCU enter the portal for enhanced revenue opportunities: Julian Mackey (to FIU) and Bryson Dawkins (to YSU). Both were double-figure scorers who absolutely crushed it at their next school. Elijah is cut from the same cloth and will do the same for you. Hit me up!

🚨🎙️Luis Enrique ; sir Alex Ferguson is the greatest manager of all time for me but I respect pep a lot 🗣️ “For me, Sir Alex Ferguson is the greatest coach in football history. What he achieved in football, especially with Manchester United, is something that changed the sport forever. He did not simply win trophies he built an empire, a mentality, and a culture of winning that lasted for generations. He completely changed the history of Manchester United. Before him, the club was big, but under Sir Alex they became a global football institution. Winning multiple Premier League titles, FA Cups, League Cups, and especially Champions League trophies is extraordinary. To dominate English football for such a long period is already difficult, but to also dominate Europe and compete at the highest level for decades shows a level of greatness that very few managers in history can ever reach. One of the things I admire most about Sir Alex is his ability to rebuild successful teams again and again. Different generations, different players, different football eras — but Manchester United remained at the top because of his leadership, intelligence, and mentality. He also helped develop and groom some of the greatest players football has ever seen. Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best examples. Ferguson helped transform an incredibly talented young player into one of the greatest footballers in history. That ability to improve players, to guide them, and to make them believe they can become world-class is one of the biggest signs of a legendary coach. I have always had a very good relationship with Sir Alex Ferguson. He is someone I respect deeply. After our Champions League victory, he congratulated me, and for me that meant a lot because it came from someone I admire greatly. I have learned many things from Ferguson over the years — leadership, discipline, managing big personalities, creating a winning mentality, and understanding what it takes to stay successful at the highest level for many years. Coaches like Sir Alex inspire all of us in football. For me, he will always be one of the greatest inspirations in management and, without doubt, the greatest coach ever.” ❤️🏆 #MUFC

Syracuse’s William Kyle III is one of the best Big Man Prospects in this year’s NBA Draft. For the season Kyle averaged 8/7/1 along with 2.5 BPG and 1 SPG, while also shooting 66% from the field. Kyle also led all High Major players in Stocks per game with 3.5. Standing at 6’9 with a 7’3 wingspan and a 44 inch vertical Kyle has the tools and frame you want from an elite defensive big in the NBA. Kyle’s mix of elite athleticism, rim protection, defensive versatility, offensive rebounding, finishing, and motor is all of the traits teams are looking for in their rim running bigs in Kyle is one of the best in the class in all of those areas. On the defensive end Kyle uses his length and athleticism to be a highly impactful rim protector who also doesn’t foul which is extremely rare. He’s also versatile enough to play in a lot of different defensive systems and he's also versatile enough to switch onto smaller players. Kyle is also a high level help defender and uses his agility to make quick decision plays on the defensive end. Offensively he’s a very efficient rim runner who’s a strong screen setter, lob threat, while also being able to push in transition. He’s great at positioning himself for dunks where he finished with 59 this season. Kyle is also an efficient long dunking finisher where he shot 66% on layups. Kyle is also a solid passer for his archetype and has the ability to make plays in short roll situations. Kyle is one of 3 players since 2008 to have a BLK% of 9, a STL% of 2, make 50 dunks or more, while fouling under 3 times a game per 40, joining Brandon Clarke and Anthony Davis as the only other players.

OF Jaden Gustafson (Wichita State Baseball) is an under the radar name to keep tabs on this spring. Hit .296/.367/.403 last spring with 15 XBH and followed with an outstanding summer in the Jayhawk League in which he posted a .391/.439/.626 slash line with 11 2B, 2 3B, 4 HR, 32 RBIs and 12 BB to just 2 Ks across 115 at-bats. Athletic frame at 6'3" and 215-lbs with particular strength in his lower-half. Stands upright in the box with a high handset and slightly open front side. Will drop/drift his hands a bit in his load, but Gustafson has plenty of hand speed. Small-strider. Compact operation in which he takes a relatively direct path to contact. Has shown the ability to adjust. Gustafson has double-plus bat-to-ball skills, and last season he posted an 87% overall contact rate and a 93% overall IZ contact rate (94% against FB). He also possesses advanced pitch recognition skills and swing decisions, and last year his overall chase rate was 24%. Very few swings outside of the shadow zone. Gustafson uses the entire field, but has a particular knack for going the opposite way. Barrel skills are also advanced. The most intriguing part about Gustafson in my eyes is his potential power upside. That might sound a little strange considering he has 0 collegiate HRs, but he's a strong kid with some present impact (90th EV of 103, Max of 104.3) and whose AirPull% last spring was a minuscule 7.7%. The bat and hand speed is there, and I'll be curious to see what will happen if he can get the ball up in the air more. Even if he can just start pulling the ball more. Gustafson is a great athlete who profiles best in a corner OF spot. Can go and get it, and he's got North-to-South range as well gap-to-gap range. Arm is fringy, but the athleticism certainly plays. Runs well underway. Could play his way into the 7th-10th round range. (📽️: Wichita State Baseball)

If you read my post about finding the goodness in loss or hard moments I said I would share this video. My husband Doug has been at the top of this sport. He has won a state title, a NCAA title, the US Open, World Team trials, placed 5th at the world, and was an Olympian. Through all that he has experienced his fair share of losses and getting through them. Our son participated in his first HS state tournament and although he came up short taking home 2nd, Doug did not have a lack of words to share with other parents who have or will go through it from his new perspective of a parent of a HS athlete. So much goodness packed into this. I challenge every parent to watch it, especially those with kids in some sort of even/sport that they compete in. Doug not only talks about validating your child's feelings because of the work it took to get there, but he speaks to the things he as an athlete experienced just now from the perspective of a parent of a High School kid. By far this is one of his best talks and knowing how his heart hurt for his kid, while probably tuning back into some of his own losses made this even more relatable. I know one thing- I'm lucky that our kids, both our own and the ones that will be joining us at UNI eventually have someone like him under the tunnel in these moments. Although my heart ached matside and I was probably 30 yards from my kid in one of his most vulnerable and defeating moments, I knew he didn't need me, he needed him. Doug Schwab
